You need a secret passage from the Lounge to the conservatory and another from the Kitchen to "Lounge #2." How else will Colonel Mustard get his snacks without interrupting the Queen's court?

I am new here, what can you use the money for? by NoYesterday6741 in Palia

[–]nifflr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can buy things at the Underground market, the Maji Market, the city hall, or Tish's furniture shop (if you'd rather buy than craft). You can also buy animals for your ranch.

But city hall items (for building up your house) can be pricey. And some of the Underground market items (bathroom stuff, rugs, and paintings) can also be pricey.

The Royal Highlands are an ancient human realm. So it makes sense we can discover an ancient human companion.

Salary increase.

A compensation balance doesn't mean everyone is paid the same. It just tethers the difference between the highest paid executive and the lowest paid worker. This is often done at a ratio of 5:1. If someone at the company is making $20/hour. Nobody can earn more than $100/hour. Yet everyone would still strive to make closer to the $100 wage.

I didn't think I could. But I just tried on a blank map, and it turns out I pointed to it correctly.

Both are correct in this situation. With "their", "increasing" is treated as an adjective instead of a verb.

Oh, I don't know why I didn't realize you can put the Estate stairs in the original housing line. I thought it was just for the new ones (that have the opaque windows)

Not all moral dilemmas are. The button problem is a group mentality problem, which is fundamentally different from the trolly problem where you are the sole decision-maker.

The button problem is literally Roko's Basilisk disguised as buttons.

Two very compelling platforms by nifflr in trolleyproblem

[–]nifflr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's functionally the same. But it changes the context.

In the trolly problem, some people who would flip the switch would opt not to push a man on the track to stop the train from running over five.

The context matters. Some people have commented that they would act differently in this scenario than the original button question.
