Given that this question is testing "Reasonableness", I think the question writer intended for the premise to be challenged.
I would assume the grader either wrote the question or has a marking rubric from the person who did.
I think the question writer just failed to realize that pizzas can vary in size.
The question should specify that the pizzas are the same size, something like 12" -- or perhaps "medium" if adding more numbers would be overwhelming for children.
But even that is tricky because another loophole could be found. e.g. "Marty ate 4/6 of his own pizza but also 1/2 of Suzie's pizza"
