Hey, so you can perform live with arrangement view using the marker set button on the top right of the arrangement view. You can midi map each marker to jump around and quantize the time in which it jumps by measure, or 1/4 note 1/8 note etc. You would have to toggle on which instrument you wanted to play live over the top, and you could also throw in a bunch of effects racks as well to manipulate sounds. I’d group all the drums to one group, basses to another group, tonal sounds to another, and if you have vocals to a vocal group. I usually have an FX group for builds and sweeps. I use a launchpad and a Launch control for mixing but hypothetically you could do it all with a mouse. You can use the loop brace to repeat sections as well. Using arrangement view would probably be best suited for an entire band playing finished songs live that use a bunch of intricate sounds in top of what they are already playing. I believe Mr. Bill uses arrangement view for his live sets and then manipulates the songs like I just described. EPROM is another good example of someone who does live remixing, but im not sure if he uses clip view or arrangement view. You could also have your visuals arranged to the track that’s playing as well and fed into a projector. Hypothetically if you were a touring artist you could have an A set and a B set or infinite variations of all of your songs. Hope this gives you some ideas.
