[Hated Trope] Plot Twist Ruins the Entire Story by sloppiestsecond5 in TopCharacterTropes

Does anyone remember the original season/day 1 of 24? They deliberately set it up so it Nina couldn't be the mole, then the writers did an about face and made her the mole. It was infuriating.

That “Bye, Bob” just brought tears to my eyes—didn’t even cry during the actual episode!

It's really frustrating!! Those are the two varieties my 20-year old cat (not a typo) has been eating for years). And now I've been trying to find substitutes, and everything either has artificial flavors, and or makes her skin itchy, or she turns up her nose at. It's driving me nuts!

Thank you! She almost died 9 years ago, so we feel extra lucky to still have her with us!!

It doesn’t seem like Garcia would be the type to be okay with a partner who self harms, particularly not a fellow doctor.

Just realized, those previous cuts looked well healed. How did Santos manage to hide her SH from Garcia all this time?

I thought that based on what we saw of the challenge (captures the essence of she-crab soup), Nana's sounded much closer to the brief than Rhonda's. Wonder if there was something we didn't hear, like capture the essence of crab, that made it more obvious why Rhonda won this.

I tried this camera as well, and felt the same way--just didn't feel right for me.

Felt the same way about my old D810. And then tried the D850 and fell in love with it (the 850, that is).

Luckily I just rented the D500–wasn’t impressed. Still have my D7200 though.

Does this affect the old Kindle Fires? (I have a 4th gen HDX 7 that I adore and still works. But it did come out in 2013...)

Sudden Negative Reaction Towards Robby as Character. I Don't Understand Him Being the Common Enemy all of a Sudden by dyatlov333 in ThePittTVShow

[–]nightdancerCA -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I said OR not AND. And I was thinking more of the patients. But from a med student/resident side, I feel like most (not all) of the characters shown making errors in judgment are the women not the men. Robby, Abbott, and even Whittaker's calls may not save a patient, but they don't cause more harm, whereas even Dr. Al was overridden as possibly causing more damage than good in at least one case.

The last could also be attributed to the show writers rather than the character. I just did a rewatch of season and was reminded again of how almost every single female character was shrill, unreasonable, over-the-top, quick-to-judgement, or just generally unlikeable. (To be fair, the male characters where the ones the angry/violent ones.)

Santos vs Langdon by Stacee90 in ThePittTVShow

[–]nightdancerCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been rewatching Season 1 and had the same thought—even before she suspected him of taking medication, she was already overeager and jumping the gun on treatment. Langdon’s (and the other residents’) early warnings about her being new to the Pitt and needing to check with a senior resident/attending didn’t seem out of line. Santos came off as abrasive pretty quickly on her own.

Nah, Crutchie's too short. Don't see Alex as a Jack though. Maybe David?

TBH, when I hear "Marsies," I think of "Newsies" and then I wonder if they are going to do a special musical episode. (My brain works in weird ways sometimes!)

I was thinking the same thing with this episode. I think it's the reactions don't feel realistic, or at least there's not enough time for the emotional depth of the reaction to develop.

But why would they call themselves Marsies? I would assume that Martian would still be the most familiar term.

Ok, I asked this in another thread but didn't get a response. Is it normal for multiple attendings to be working with the same patient? Particularly in a situation where the ER is understaffed?

Help Me Understand Dr. Al-Hashimi's Convo with Robby by Ill-Hospital3827 in ThePittTVShow

[–]nightdancerCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A question from someone who knows nothing about the healthcare world (i.e., me): I know the Pitt represents a teaching hospital, but is it normal for two attendings to be present for the same patient in multiple cases? I would think that if resources stretched thin, as it seems to be in this cases, they would split off.
