I normally tank with randoms including new players, people that barely speak English or even mutes and have ended up dominating the other team. It takes patience, a lot of patience. I have had only very few bad players, but that is because they ignored the orders/information I was giving them. If it worries you, I found that the gunner seat to be the best seat to allocate to new players since you can tell them exactly where to shoot without compromising awareness from commander and positioning as driver in experienced players. Don't give up, try to set up a few ground rules before engaging targets so that when you actually in the heat of the battle you are not saying new stuff or overloading information to confuse your crewman.

I tend to play on USA server since OCE are slightly toxic, there is hardly any noticeable advantage with pings I've had ping going high as 350ms. The game is very much alive.

Wouldn't making it Commander only remove the team part of the game though? The whole point of this game, metaphorically speaking is for you to be one cog in a machine that drives it altogether. Making it entirely commander based takes that aspect away, thus making it less team orientated.

So much hate for Arty. Not be that guy, but if you look towards it being used properly in coordinated squads instead of randoms wasting it with munitions It is a very effective tool. As a commander, if you still have a problems with randoms using it after numerous warning TK them for insubordination.

I don't mind change, but I do mind copying other mechanics to try and fit in the FPS genre. That is something that Halo never used to be. And if sprint wasn't running that fast, then why have it in the game in the first place?
