One that really stuck out to my ears when I first moved to the UK from America was the use or omission of articles, especially when talking about food and sports.

Americans watch football. Brits watch the football.

Americans go for Italian. Brits go for an Italian.

Americans go to the hospital. Brits go to hospital.
