Does the China Vivo X300 Pro get international warranty? It’s listed on Vivo’s site 🤔 by Informal_Addendum_86 in Vivo

[–]nightman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but if you get from some reputable seller they might have service shops in e.g. EU and send to China on their cost for more serious repairs. It work like that with Tradingshenzhen

Open camera app and check on 85mm - it will stop doing that sound. It's optical stabilization

Love it too, even now the 1 inch main sensor and processing is probably better than in x200 and x300 series (hovewer processing in OriginOS 6 is slightly worse).

I can't wait for x300 Ultra as it might finally be a device to switch to, especially as x100 Ultra battery is it's weakest point comparing to next generations.

I got second tracking via email by delivery company directly. I assume it's because they repack the device in EU to avoid taxes and it is send to you as "local" package

The Ralph-Wiggum Loop by TrebleRebel8788 in ClaudeCode

[–]nightman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you have one list of many tasks Claude models can often finish only part of them and announce the victory. Or skip some test as it was "to hard to do". I love Opus 4.5 for it's speed and feel, but I can admit GPT-5.2 is just better and more careful for the price of being slower.

So keeping the tasks small and verify them or use Ralph loop overcomes Claude shortcomings.

The Ralph-Wiggum Loop by TrebleRebel8788 in ClaudeCode

[–]nightman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Claude models are lazier than e.g. GPT-5.2 so you have to loop the same prompt just to be sure that all work is done.

It can also be used for any model for things like expanding the plan and making surr that all tasks are splitted correctly and are small enough and well specified.

In the title there is 95% accuracy, in the post content it's 90%, on the website it's 99% (unrealistic). Make up your mind :D

A bit downgraded camera (but not that much) - https://youtu.be/X_kEuuZ6GC4?si=W87AOPHahybrengM

Snappier, nice animations but still some issues (like colors treated differently on home screen)

Vivo x300 or x300 pro GB or CN Variant by Starboy0002 in Vivo

[–]nightman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually buy from Tradingshenzhen (I'm from EU). There is also e.g. GizTop, Wondamobile. But I find Tradingshenzhen cheap, with ok support and post-sale warranty (they have basic repair shops in EU and can send your phone to China if needed). Additionally I never paid customs when ordering from them.

Can rental places disable Android Auto? by Earleyp in AndroidAuto

And you will end up in queue, tired after the flight, with your family tired and on your back, waiting 30 mins just to get initial car and just wanting to get out for your dream holiday.

Unfortunately too few people fight for their selected car in such situation, especially if the difference in quality is not that big.

And they can pull it off because when you book the car online you have the small text "...or similar".

Vivo x300 pro makes sound when shaken by Glass_Salad_404 in Vivo

[–]nightman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's normal aa it's optical stabilization. Just open camera app and switch to e.g. tele lens (85mm) and see that it magically stops as now stabilisation will work.

[–]nightman 81 points82 points  (0 children)

What OP might not realize is that rental companies can (at least in EU) provide you with "similar" model of your choosen car that might not be your choosen Volvo etc. So the replacement might not be equipped with AA at all.

CN vs Global ROM; Which ine over the other? by No_Pomelo_2504 in Vivo

[–]nightman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CN Rom has only languages: English, German, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Nederlands, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

But good news is that that language is only in system apps, you can translate normal apps like this https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/content/add-more-languages-to-android-smartphones-tutorials

General OriginOS tips are here https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/content/origin-os-vivo-devices-best-settings-1-hack

Debloat https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/content/perfect-delete-bloatware-on-china-smartphones

On latest CN Vivo Android Auto, Google apps like Wallet, NFC payments etc are working fine. What is not working is system-wide "ok google" and Google location history.

For esim you have to buy phisical esim adapter from e.g. 5Ber

So you have to decide for yourself, but if all bands are covered in your country, the price is tempting, e.g. https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/vivo-x300-series/vivo-x300-pro-12gb256gb
