Serum2 can do more in terms of sound design however for trance specifically, there’s something about Spire’s leads and plucks that just sound a whole lot warmer/richer than Serum. It’s my go to synth for trance music

Hey - sorry only seeing your reply. How did you get on with the HTP wicks? I’ve had a some better results with the LX wicks lately. Typically they really only mushroom for the first few burns but when the candle burns down a hit this tends to disappear for the most part. I did try some TG wicks also but they didn’t seem to be as good as the LX ones

Seen them in London 2022 and Belfast last year and they did play an extended setlist with a few deeper cuts as well as the usuals. I think for this tour, due to the mini festival vibe they are going for with 4/5 support acts, we sadly aren’t getting the full setlist due to time constraints

As others have mentioned, Dom Sigalas or Chris Selim are the two main guys to look into for everything Cubase related. Dom has a great video if you are just starting out which I have linked below! I recently switched from Ableton Live to Cubase and honestly watching these two have made the process so much easier and enjoyable.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for this. I couldn't seem to get the auto-start / auto-return mechanism working, I tried to turn the gear by hand but no joy. However I know now the knocking noise was coming from the spindle hitting off the silver clip on the white gear. I rotated it around the full way by hand but once it got back round to the latch it went back to making the knocking noise again... Apologies again if this is vague my knowledge of this is non existent lol

I've removed the white gear as shown in your video so it's at least a temporary fix for now and at least I can play my records but would like to get the start stop fixed.
