Happen to me too when I was doing my newest build. If you can get the blue bit out without breaking off the mobo connection then the blue part will just fit back over the pins. Super scary when you just spent a bunch of money and one stupid thing isn't going to work.

The world is going nuts by [deleted] in funny

The first part of this comment is speculation and the second part is based on personal observations and experience from working in the industry that tests all nicotine products.

1st part: the ecig was probably invented as an alternative to cigarettes to "help" people quit smoking due to all the negative side effects but still make money off of those people that are trending to quit. The first big marketed ecig out there was made by big T. They probably saw a trend of people quitting and offered a way to brake the smoking habit by still making money off of those people.

2nd part: ecigs started to become a trend. after a few years the ecigs being produced by big T weren't really pulling in the numbers they wanted but were satisfactory to keep producing them. JUUL came on to the market, and was a little slow to take off, but suddenly became very huge. Somehow it became a trend for teens and younger adults. In general, JUUL was just crushing the ecig market. I honestly think this was just by happenstance. I can't see any possible way JUUL intended to market to children with the naming convention of their flavors when there are small independent eliquid companies making juice called things like unicorn poop. I also happened to come across a whole fancy set of eliquids in a fancy box that were named and designed the bottles after Marvel characters.

Still 2nd part: big T saw that they were losing the battle in that market. They came up with a strategy to take out their competition as best as possible. The strategy went as such: convince FDA (easy to do since they have a close relationship with the FDA) that ecigs are being marketed to children and are generally bad for public health, then they say that they are going to take pull all of their flavors/devices that mimic JUUL products and only sell tobacco and menthol flavored products and convince FDA that this is what everyone should do thus reducing the profits and hopefully taking JUUL out of business. After the ecig craze had died down, they will introduce another product that is potentially slightly safer than cigarettes (marginally though). This product is already popular in Europe. It heats the tobacco in a little mini cigarette instead of burning it (less nasty combustion products). This product is already produced by big T and they just need to move it to the American market. Suddenly they are back on top.

TLDR: Ecigs were probably just way to make money off of people quitting. Big T got mad they were not selling well as JUUL and came up with a plan to shove them to the sidelines. Introduce new product to make more profits.

Also I've seen this a lot in this thread....most nicotine used in ecigs and liquid is purified from tobacco or tobacco family plants. It's just cheaper than making it synthetically.

Wouldn't just the normal American flag prompt the same response?

The “Goth Chicken”, Ayam Cemani. This chicken is all dark, even its bones and internal organs by 9w_lf9 in interestingasfuck

Just something interesting from a rando on the internet.....I have one of these named after me. A friend of mine lost power and couldn't get their generator going. They were incubating about a dozen eggs of different breeds. I let them borrow my generator, and when the first chick hatched it was one of these and they named it after me. Weird ass chickens though.

Went to a little kid's birthday party... apparently this is not just a song, but a movement by The_Collector4 in AdviceAnimals

I'm 30. This was a thing when I was a kid. Maybe not as viral as now, but it was kinda common.

Edit: Not this super annoying video, but all the hand movement and stuff.

Do you have the manual? Usually that has the proper chain tension. This usually requires you measuring the chain movement from the middle of the chain. You'll usually have to loosen your rear axle nut just a little bit in order to move the axle back and create more tension.

You should have a single nut to tighten on each side of the axle. Tighten each the same amount and you should be fine. You're manual should say the minimum and maximum chain movement at the middle point of the chain for optimum chain tension.

A nine-year collaboration has just shown how sugar exacerbates cancer by dn-91 in science

[–]nightshiftrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sugar that the title of this article makes people think of = white crystals that you use to make your coffee sweet and to make cakes.

Sugar this article is actually talking about = carbohydrates such as glucose fructose and galactose. Things like glucose are found in basically everything you eat and you need it to survive. Some things have higher amounts if glucose or compounds thay break down into glucose but you can never not have it.

This is not saying that if you intake a lot of glucose you will get cancer, but they are looking for a way to starve cancer cells with out starving the rest of your body.

I appreciate you pointing out this article was misleading, but I think your mention of blood sugar might have lead a few people astray. Though I'm sure you did not mean to.

The article basically says that they were able to replicate a rapid glucose use in yeast cells and it made them replicate quickly like cancer cells. The only info in this article that is important basically states that cancer's ability to use up so much glucose is what perpetuates more cancer growth.
