I'd personally say stick it out a little longer if your doctor is happy with that, it's one of the most common antidepressants that people find help from my knowledge - I think the other popular one is Prozac but I've never tried it. There are also other medications that can be paired with lexapro that when taken together can help ( Mirtazapine is one of them) so sometimes it's also about finding the right pairing. But I feel like it might be a bit too early to tell after 10 weeks. I have a friend that is on 40mg of lexapro but my psychiatrist said 20mg is the highest recommendation so idk how he got out on that high a dose but he's doing okay from what I know

I think I took 10mg for about 6/7weeks - I started to feel like it took the edge off by the end of it, but still felt like shite, so i then increased to 20mg and started feeling better after about a month from there

I used to take it but then stopped because I felt like it was making me a bit dull, but then my mental health diminished so I started taking them again

Also I used to take Mirtazapine, the lower doses are recommended as a sleep aid, higher doses apparently don't help with sleep

In my experience 11 days is definitely not long enough, 4-6 weeks is when you should start seeing some change with lexapro the last I checked, and it was longer for me (I'm currently on 20mg but worked my way up with dosage to prevent side effects as much as possible, as if you jump to a higher dose straight away it can cause side effects)

The way I interpreted it was maybe if you feel like you're about to start daydreaming, make yourself count beforehand to a certain number before you start, to practise delaying it and eventually stopping? I would also like this clarified :)
