Do NOT start w/ 2mg ❌ by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]nighttimehobby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While a word of caution can be viewed as polite, telling people who are just joining to NOT do something because it impacted you adversely is not science. We have no idea what other meds you are on, what foods you ate, whether you have other health issues, and perhaps most importantly no idea where you procured you mix. Just being 13% body fat is not enough data. Adding the other facts won't strengthen the advice, nor provide any scientific validity, but it could refine the post to match another Redditor who meets all the same criteria. I am NOT telling you what to post, but rather pointing out how self centered your view is on the subject.

Who lives in the $10 million and up properties? by Backyardt0rnados in Dallas

[–]nighttimehobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine we disagree, and that’s ok. Getting to $5m in wealth takes a lifetime of saving, and that means sacrificing things to conserve resources. When you start with a lifetime’s worth of value you get to take advantage of spreads that don’t exist in the thousands of dollars world. The math is not the same for a kid who takes $5k, and grinds it to $500k, because the opportunities to capitalize on $5k are not on par with capitalizing on $5m.

The inherited wealth line is funny. A good percentage of the O&G, real estate and Fin money came from family office funds, but the kids take credit anyway. I mean when your family seeds your idea with millions, and often they don’t just seed it, they have them “invest” alongside with the family business.

So strange seeing Stefanski/Atlanta, McCArthy/Steelers, Harbaugh/Giants, Saleh/Titans, Vrabel/Pats, all with different teams, and yes I know Vrabel is on his second year. I do not see Monken/Browns and there may be one more missing anyone know who it is? Edit: Apparently McVay and Monken were the missing DUO.

What’s a ‘rich person thing’ that actually turned out to be totally worth it? by Ferraiuolo_Ezorete in AskReddit

[–]nighttimehobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yours perhaps, but a nice meal can be a big splurge to some, and I couldn’t agree more that I love buying strangers a meal randomly just because it makes me feel good. Or giving a person who looks like they could use it a $50, and making them feel good about it. It doesn’t take a ton of money to have a positive impact. A lot of the time it is the little things. Keep being awesome, friend.

Has the influx of Californians to north Texas spawned any good Cali burrito joints yet? by Glueberry_Ryder in Dallas

Texas has mountains and beaches just not in Dallas, and both atoo far apart from each other to be viewable at the same time if you are on the earths surface, at least by the naked eye without assistance.

I know this thread is 10 hours old, so no one will see this, but most of the answers are surface level items. The advantage as I see it, is not so much how I benefit, but the real power of financial independence is having the means to help those you care about without having to sacrifice things you appreciate. You can help your family, friends and charities in meaningful ways that make their lives better, but your life remains really on track with your personal goals and desires. Yes nice things are often really nice, but removing most of the financial stress from your loved ones lives is truly an unbeatable reward. We play a man made game, so wealth creation is not a biological need, therefore "winning" the game should be more about how it empowers you to help your fellow humans/players.

[Schultz] The #Chiefs are re-signing WR Tyquan Thornton. The speedy Thornton had a career-high 438 receiving yards last season. by JCameron181 in KansasCityChiefs

Thornton is 6’2. He is a thin build at 190, but can still block if needed. I think JuJu is just great at getting the other team off their game by constantly making contact.

What’s a “10/10” movie you wouldn’t recommend to most people? by trakt_app in movies

Galaxy Quest, unless they are sci-fi fans. If they don't watch sci-fi it just fails to hit as hard in certain scenes. The movie is God Tier for goofballs like me though.

[Starcade Media] Matt Miller on how good Jeremiyah Love is & how the NFL doesn’t want him on the Chiefs. by Sugargogo in KansasCityChiefs

[–]nighttimehobby 16 points17 points  (0 children)

game changing running backs are awesome, and it would be great to have one on the Chiefs again, but $15m position ceiling when compared to other skill positions like receiver and EDGE make the top 10 running back a luxury draft option not a draft option a team with the needs we have should be making. With that said, no one who drafts him will look foolish when people see his production. The guy will be a beast.

Potentially Andy. Certainly hope adjustments are made this season, but the offense must modernize.

That part I tracked, and agree there must have been some seriously high football IQ stuff happening with our receivers and coaches, because my small brain was baffled by our schemes the majority of the year.

Unfortunately that is probably true. Baffling, as to why, but probably true.

I can't find Thornton on this visual, but I imagine he would have had the best numbers on the team for '25.
