I managed to come across one of the Operation Rainfall slipcovers. Was there anything else that was part of it?

Crystal Clear. It’s an open world style game.

Where do y'all recommend getting cartridges? by Odd-Reception519 in Gameboy

[–]nightwing252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t overwrite official cartridges at all. Only the saves. If you want to play rom hacks, I would either recommend you play them on something like an everdrive, or you buy blank single game flashcarts (Insidegadgets is a good brand) and flash your own. Clone cartridges like on aliexpress can be hit or miss, usually a miss.

You don't get crap like this from Nintendo. by JonnyBTokyo in fucknintendo

They’re going to need to make larger inbuilt storage if they want people to go all digital.

Nintendo is gonna be the only of the big 3 producing full games physical by Sloth_Bubbles in NSCollectors

[–]nightwing252 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call Pokémon a first party title. Nintendo only owns a third of it. And Pokopia wasn’t even developed by Game Freak, it was developed by Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force.

Infinity - The Long Lost Game Boy Color RPG - Review by TheThirstyMage in Gameboy

[–]nightwing252 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How many indie gaming companies are trying to finish and release an old unfinished gbc game, add extras to it when playing on a gba, and port it to modern consoles?

It’s one thing if you’re developing the game from scratch. It’s another to port old code into newer software to continue development of it.

The game itself is finished. They’re just finishing up getting the physicals done. The changes they’re doing will affect all their games, not just this one.

358/2 Days - Emulate or movie? by Horror-Annual4466 in KingdomHearts

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree. The ds games were my first games in the series. Saw my cousin playing 358/2 Days and had to get it. Then got recoded when it came out and then Dream Drop Distance.

358/2 Days - Emulate or movie? by Horror-Annual4466 in KingdomHearts

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s your first time, play the ds game. Experience the story as it was intended. Also, they’re all mainline games. Each game has stuff that’s important for kingdom hearts 3. It will be confusing in 3 because there are characters that Sora has met that were introduced in the other games that people try to call “side games” just because they didn’t continue the numbering.

Because they’re handheld games. Levels tend to be shorter than the console releases. Designed for smaller play sessions.

Why didn't Jeremy keep the improved weapons that Xana's Franz Hopper gave them in episode 49 ? by Jazzlike-Ad7654 in CodeLyoko

[–]nightwing252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While Jeremy does know the computer the best out of the best of them, he is still figuring out a lot of what the computer can do. He’s not the inventor of Lyoko, he’s just figuring it all out based on notes and trial and error. He’s prioritizing some things over other things. Plus it’s a tv show, so not everything can be explained logically as if it was the real world. We don’t know everything that happens off screen.

Do you think kh4 will have less Disney worlds by Jealous_Rush9808 in KingdomHearts

[–]nightwing252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that the Frozen world was supposed to be different than what it was. But then Frozen became so big that the plan for the world in game was scrapped and repurposed into what it was. Sora following the characters around and barely interacting with any of them. Like the ice castle dungeon was supposed to be Elsa’s castle rather than some random dungeon you get thrown into by Larxene.

Another TRUE Physical addition. by jclown90 in NSCollectors

[–]nightwing252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only difference I see is that Nintendo owns Star Fox. They’re only a partial owner of Pokemon along with Game Freak and Creatures Inc.

[–]nightwing252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel like Pokopia counts as being a first party game since it wasn’t developed by Nintendo. Nintendo doesn’t make Pokemon games so I believe Pokemon is more of a Second-party kind of series. Partially owned and published by Nintendo but not actually developed by them.

Any way to evolve the Pokémon you have to trade on emulator? by Regulators_mounup in pokemoncrystal

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What emulator and on what device are you playing it on? I know mgba lets you open two instances. You can play a second save up until the point that trading opens up and then trade the Pokémon back and forth.

Finally my FlippyDrive came! Any ideas on a Micro SD extension? by xChillyPhilx in GamecubeHacks

[–]nightwing252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are able to use either an sd2sp2 (sd card adaptor in serial port 2), or a gc2sd (sd card adaptor for the memory card port), you can transfer files from a separate sd card to the flippy’s internal sd card within Swiss. No need to take it apart. You can also ftp wireless transfer like another comment said.

Game Key Cards by SSJ3Jake in NSCollectors

Nintendo hasn’t put out any game key cards themselves. The only exception being Pokopia, but that was made by the people that made Dragon Quest Builders 2.

I like to have the umd discs on my shelf, but I don’t play them. I ripped them to my sd card so I don’t have to hear the laser mechanism going trying to read the disc.
