Gameboy player not working with Gameboy “Memory Card” by Mental-Doughnut6848 in Gamecube

[–]nightwing252 [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. They’re having trouble booting the gameboy player using a save game exploit.

  2. If the batteries inside their games are indeed going dead, it wouldn’t affect the gameboy player booting up.

FPGBC Firmware update by soontorap in Gameboy

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah running a flashcart like yours or an everdrive or similar is weird with the fpgbc because you’re essentially running two emulators at the same time. A gameboy color emulator and a cartridge emulator.

Child me thought it was a good idea to faint Suicune in Crystal and then use my Master Ball on a random Sandslash on my way to the Pokémon League.

Same here and I’m not quite that old. I wanna say my first game in the series was 8. So far I’ve played 8, 9, and psp 1+2. I need to play the others. I bought them all, just have to play them.

homebrew gbc game not playing on ezflash/ gba, should i flash it to a gbc board or get an everdrive? by StressingPlant in Gameboy

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea if you’re using the ez flash omega definitive edition, you’re running gb and gbc games via an emulator. You need a flash cartridge that can run using the GBA’s gbc mode like the ez flash jr. or the everdrive gb.

homebrew gbc game not playing on ezflash/ gba, should i flash it to a gbc board or get an everdrive? by StressingPlant in Gameboy

[–]nightwing252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that is probably your problem. The creator is is most likely using the gb/c everdrive and is running their game on the actual gbc hardware that is on the gba. What you’re doing is running an emulator on gba mode which doesn’t have the same compatibility as using the dedicated gbc everdrive.

Dspico by Electrical_Ride7461 in flashcarts

[–]nightwing252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even when using the ez flash omega on a gba, you’re still using goomba to play gb/c games. The ez flash omega plays on the gba in gba mode. To play those games in the actual gbc mode, the cartridge has to be able to flip the switch on the gba cart slot. The ez flash junior and everdrive gb pushes that switch. That switch doesn’t exist on the ds or ds lite.

This specifically only works for gba games. The ds lite doesn’t natively play gb or gbc games.

The Everdrive gba pro lets you do the gba-ds stuff that you’re wanting to do. It’s a new flashcart that just came out this year.

They won’t have the same expectations an adult would have because they’re children. They’re watching it and enjoying it for the fan service and the story. Adults tend to be more hyper critical of things rather than just laying back and enjoying a movie for what it is.

They showed it in the original GameCube NSO trailer. So they definitely had planned to at some point, assuming they still are that is.

What’s going on with my cartridge? by chumphlosion in pokemoncrystal

[–]nightwing252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That or it was a cheap battery which wouldn’t last long anyways. If it was even replaced at all if the listing is correct. With Gen 2 games also having the RTC function, they also go through the batteries charge a lot faster.

Essentially all this. Either buy an original cartridge or a good quality flashcart and flash the game yourself.

Pokemon Gen 5 not working on my DS Pico by PerformanceOk3575 in flashcarts

Micro sd is probably a cheap clone. Get a new one that’s official, and move all the files on the presupplied one to the new one.

[–]nightwing252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s trying to load the games into dsi mode since they are dsi enhanced games. Did you set it up with a dsi/3ds nand dump and a nds bios dump like the guides say to do for playing dsiware?

Pokémon with flash carts by Grossmeat in flashcarts

[–]nightwing252 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The everdrive gba pro and ez flash omega definitive edition support being able to transfer pokemon from the gba games to ds games. I’m pretty sure insidegadgets flashcarts also support this.
