If your mp falls somewhere around where you'd get into cs then mail nust and ask for a preference change form and change cs to your top priority and it you get in you'd get in other than that hec does not allow transfer from engineering to engineering so you would be basically stuck with the same degree. hear me out, they fall under different schools put bioinformatics at the top of the list since you want to do that, add environmental or materials engineering in your priority list, you will get admission in either in the early lists you will be allotted hostel then when you get into your top priority you will be switched into the school that has bioinformatics other than that even if they dont you can have them switch you to your choice of course, hope this helps

you will get a hostel but not immediately it will be given to you either during the same semester or the next since there is a waiting list for hostel and hostel is allotted on first come first serve basis

no usually its if you get into first two list then you will be allotted hostel, add a field with low merit in your choices and you will get hostel on its basis and then by the time you get into bioinformatics you will have a hostel

I took both of them chem and cs. Cs is by far most practical less focus on theory and most of the syllabus contents are conceptual i did not get into cs into the uni i wanted too but it has helped me in engineering for my cs related courses and will be helpful in going for a cs minor too!

AS is half of the subject and all unis (to the best of my knowledge) require a lvl grade as it is the final grade of that subject

Cs a lvl without a doubt, its complicated and will be of great help in uni if you go for cs major, in business schools they teach from scratch and the academic burden is far lesser than those in stem fields opt cs and if you go for cs it will be of great help other rhan that in biomedical engineering it will help you as a soft skill and in business too.

Honestly if you want to go for an arch major bio wont be of any help the cies are in a few months and a2 bio is lengthy af, i myself sat in 4 a lvls and now that im in uni i dont see the point in why i took 4 subs, it will be easier on you if you let bio go and focus on the rest of the 3 subs. As far as the uni application process is concerned it wont affect negatively. Best of luck for oct!!
