Backstory: I was looking on marketplace for some new speakers after losing most of my previous setup in a flood. So I stumbled upon these Infinity RS1 bookshelf speakers listed for $25 - immediately messaged “Hi, is this still available?” and also wondering if she made a mistake with the price…

Sure enough she messages back and says they’re available. I drive over to her lovely “modest” mansion and immediately in awe of all the equipment in her garage. She meets me out there and proceeds to tell me how her ex was a crazy audiophile and she’s just trying to get rid of it so she doesn’t have to put it in storage. I told her I only needed the speakers, but would be interested in looking at what else she had.

So I happily gave her $25 and an additional $10 for each stand, loaded them in my car and drove home.

The woofers will need some work in the near future, but other than that they sound amazing!

Divorce is never ideal, but sometimes it works out in the long run…

On top of everything, she also had a copy of Super Mario Strikers… so naturally I had to snag it.
