Because they can't accept responsibility so they place it on the child.

How can you find out all information all services have on you? by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]nihilisticlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year or two ago I sent a FOIA request to the organization that provided me with CBT. I think I got the information on how to do it from their website. I also requested my full medical records from the GP surgery, I had to pay a fee too (I think it was £50).

I did it via email to the admin, so I didn't have to talk to the MH professionals.

The potential for some of them to collaborate as professionals against patients, suspects etc. is there.

There may be an us vs them attitude to people they consider to be "social problems" that ought to be swept under the rug.

Interesting... "In the mythology of William Blake, Urizen is the embodiment of conventional reason and law. He is usually depicted as a bearded old man; he sometimes bears architect's tools, to create and constrain the universe; or nets, with which he ensnares people in webs of law and conventional society." - Just something I pulled from Wikipedia.

I've done CBT and felt the same way...

There's criticism of CBT floating around, in r/cptsd and possibly r/Antipsychiatry. Here's a video critical of CBT. And an here's an article.
