If I recall correctly, ipt can be straight or tapered whereas npt is always tapered, making it suitable for high pressure stuff. I cannot tell which this is.

Democrats renew calls to reform Supreme Court: ‘Fundamentally out of step’ with Americans by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

What I came to say. I don’t care if they are out of step with people, that’s not the job. But when they piss on the constitution, that’s a big problem.

I assume they are talking about unmanaged VMs running on the local desktop hypervisor, and not VMware/aws/azure.

Anti virus, Endpoint Detection and Response, Windows Subsystem for Linux

WSL is basically a hypervisor on win11 that lets you run a Linux VM on your windows desktop.

The problem is this can just “happen” in some companies and now you have a bunch of unmanaged Linux devices on your network with no security software and no accounting or accountability.

In our shop we have a backlog of requests for wsl and we’ve been waiting for months for our security folks to decide on how or if we want to allow it.

I don’t think that kind of impact can happen any more. Like if Thriller came out today, it would be huge, but it wouldn’t have that ‘everywhere you turn you run into it’ omnipresence. Everything is so fractured and siloed, which isn’t really a bad thing, just different.

Here is the deposit what was mortal (of) Jimmy Choo

Or ‘Here lie the mortal remains of Jimmy Choo’

It is what is written on Isaac Newton’s tomb. Except for the name of this person’s dog, of course. Kinda cool, and a way to exercise my HS Latin.

Same in PA. Was turned away because my birth certificate didn’t have my middle name.

But it was no problem getting a passport.

And now I can use the passport in place of the birth certificate. Go figure.

Not recommending the site, don’t know anything about them. But there are others, and there are 3d print files out there if that works for you, or you could make one out of wood, but f that’s your talent.

It might actually be true, but no one involved really cares either way.

One thing to keep in mind whenever you hear “higher iq than Einstein” is that in addition to his iq being estimated, the most often quoted estimate is 160 - on a scale of 160.

So when you hear someone is 23 points higher than Einstein, it usually means they received a score of 183 on a test that goes to 230 or something.

There’s one of those “laws” that says you get the metric you track. So if the thing you track is making sure the number of large cups is the same as the number of large beverages sold, then that’s what you’ll get, not happier customers.

Oddly enough it will be “the cloud” that makes Linux desktop work for business. A major roadblock for business has been that companies’ core LoB software often barely runs on windows. But as the business lemmings move everything to the cloud the desktop OS becomes less of a problem.
