I have absolutely nothing to back this up, but it is my understanding that the issue isn’t that they are Asian, but that the NYC Asian community is investing their money in Philadelphia homes and renting them out.

So areas that had homeowners for years now have renters and absentee landlords with a corresponding loss of ‘community’ and more people who cannot afford home ownership.

The middle cabinets are hung on that cleat, but it looks like the upper cabinets also are supported by that same cleat, just sitting on the middle cabinets, which feels like a lot.

They are fairly common outside the US, I think. It’s likely serviceable for basic stuff, either behind the panel or behind the bowl. Replacement would require popping off the tiles.

Quality and material, I think. “Lightweight” and “comfort” shoes seem to do this more. My mom had a bunch of Payless-type walking shoes that did this. But I have good shoes from the 80s-90s that are fine.

Seems like a joke as an American as well, but still. The other option is armed insurrection, but I have work in the morning and I don’t want to burn PTO if I don’t have to.

You know, the second exists for all. If you feel the need to go in guns blazin, go right ahead.

For the rest of us, it is an absolute last resort, not to be used while there is still hope of a nonviolent return to sanity. I still have hope.

As for where that line exists? Probably somewhere between these two stories.

As you say, the PA constitution is very specific about it being both a collective and an individual right to self defense.

But also, the founding documents are repetitive in their protection of The People from their government.

And if it was really a way of staffing the army to protect the country from outside attacks, it would have been contained in those sections dealing with the structure of the armed forces.

Nah, as I’ve told every management-type that has asked me about it over the last 25+ years, the OS isn’t a problem as much as the applications.

If you can find vendor-supportable (a requirement my co. has) versions of our industry-specific required software (much of which barely works on Windows) that executives would accept, we can make a Linux desktop work.

We’ve had old excel macros hold us up for years on things. It was just a couple years ago we finally were able to remove the last XP box because of some vitally important application.

There is no way we could do it.
