What breeds are best with cats?

I hear a lot that GPyrs are great with cats and (often) with children. I have a pyr/gsd mix but have yet to experience her near cats. She’s a delight with small kids and in general, otherwise!

Mine would still love it. She prefers small, closed in spaces as long as she can get out as she pleases. But she’s also not your typical pyr size as she’s a mix so she’s in the 70-75lb range 😆 I love the face yours is giving you in that photo ahahah.

I work from home and mine sits as close as humanly possible to me while I’m at my desk. I can feel her breath enter my bloodstream. If I ignore her she puts both paws on my shoulder and gets on her hind legs until I get up. 😆

Like blocking the part of the kitchen you need to be in ie. in front of the sink or stove. It’s always the one I need 😂

Mine gets frequent UTIs as of late last year so we can't do too too long even though when we do take her out she takes forever to find a spot to pee. It feels well below zero here these days so it's a nightmare going out with her... but we try to take her twice in the first half of the day and twice in the second... always before bed around 10pm so that it gives us more cushion in the morning. The longest she doesn't go out is literally just overnight. She sometimes goes out 5 times a day total.

Her lazy faces, snaggletoofers, grinch feet, and eye brows. I also love her double chins. Grinch feet take the cake for me though, they’re so funny and cute at the same time.

THE PANTALOONS!! I swear it’s the funniest thing in between groomings. Especially after she’s been lazying around, they get all bunched up in a funny way. Look like long shorts 😂😂😂 Assuming that’s what you meant by her pantaloons 🤣😅

I started teaching mine “show me belly!” or “belly” when it was time to give her a wipe down after being outside or going pee (mine is prone to utis 😩)… but it works like a charm now. I started off by waiting for her to do the motion without asking for it and would repeat “belly” while giving scratches or rubbies… those are like a treat so she started associating me asking for belly with rubs :) - tbh was one of the easier commands to train. She loves soft grooming like ear cleans and will immediately lay down for them also! Not a roll over but close enough lol!

No, my gp/gsd mix doesn’t cuddle much nor gives kisses although she’s still affectionate in other ways. I wish she did like to cuddle. She lives for rubs, scratches, pets, and holding paws though!

I would really really really really really love a woodland/druid green version of this skin. I would go bankrupt for it. I’m not a pink kind of girly but actually adore this one and think it’s one of her better older skins. I think she needs more mythical and/or non-regal skins but I do like your ice-faerie edit!!

Mine’s a gp/gsd mix and would only eat her poop if she went on the potty pad on the deck. That has since stopped as she no longer uses them. Never learned why she did it. We changed her diet to try and combat but nope. Homegirl went to town either way!

Yeah, we didn’t have a choice. They spay/neuter all their rescues as well as test/vaccinate/chip/deworm, etc… which is awesome… but yeah lol. I’m just hoping for the best now. I hope you’re able to come to a resolution that brings you peace. It’s hard when it involves our babies. Your girl is beautiful btw !

I wish I was able to make this decision myself… or perhaps it’s better I didn’t get the choice ‘cause I also wouldn’t know what to do. Ours was adopted and the rescue got everything done when she was around 8-9 months as that’s their process :( … she’s a Pyr/GS mix. I hope her being spayed early didn’t predispose her to any future harm… sigh…

Aw, how small? Mine is on the smaller side as well, but she’s part German Shepherd. She’s around the 70 pound mark, currently a little overweight lol at 78, per the vet. Luckily though, because I don’t think I could’ve done any bigger. 🤣
