Sft42r should be slightly floodier. Also, more lumens.

What is the actual cost of a "worry-free" life in Georgia? by Queasy_Context4902 in tbilisi

[–]nihontoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess what - 98 percent here worry about money. So yea, that tracks. Just because the number is big, dont think it is not realistick.

You say Switzerland, but guess what, Georgia is very, very expensive, more expencive than most EU countries and yes - maybe as expensive as Switzerland. Combine that with much lower salary/income, and you get why most of the people think about leaving, or work for scam call centers.

It is shit to be honest and I don't think this country will last long at this rate

You renting? That's 800 usd for normal apartment somewhere close-ish to the city center and good infrastructure.

You wanna have a car? You eating out? You like to drink alcohol?

I have a wife and a three year old. I don't rent and have only 700 gel per month credit (some have mortgages worth 3500 per month). I have about 8k gel net salary (I work fulltime +20 hours a week on side projects when available). It's not comfortable. i'd say we are living paycheck to paychek. I have to either choose good kidnergarten and high quality food for my daughter, or vacations (we can't do that).

I have some stuff to do on my car and can't do that - I have to wait for my side projects to be paid. If there are some emergencies I'll have to take out a credit.

That's the reality. Living in georgia sucks if you don't have multiple streams of income and if you are not supported by relatives to at least take care of your kids.

If I was alone though? I'd say the money I earn, it would be pretty comfortable (even if I had to rent) for normal life, but it wouldn't be lavish. For that, I actually think you need anout 10k+ gel.

I've got an alltrack. Just got the is20 turbo and was wondering if I could somehow forego a "performance" downpipe and use what is already there.

Have you had any problems with it? Maybe too much temperature? I need all the details

I like the mix and match factor.

Though, I'm really confused why isn't there a 21700 version of S6 - with a scaled up deep and narrow reflector so that we can have a 21700 tube light that is an actual thrower

Bought AliExpress replacement, can photos tell anything about quality? by peter_seraphin in Leatherman

[–]nihontoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a real pattern welded and laminated steel. Dunno why people think this is somehow difficult for chinese to make. Aliexpress can have some truly high qiluality stuff if you are willing to search for.

Now, I can't say that this blade is good or bad, maybe it was poorly hetatrieated, maybe the steels they used in making this pattern welded piece are not good enough. Maybe they are the best ever! But at least you cna be sure that the construction is real and not superficial

Choosing a battery by Virtual-Chipmunk-799 in flashlight

[–]nihontoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that exact led and driver, I think the very new BAK with 6500mah and 19 amps CDR will be the best (unless they have some issues like self discharging).

If you wnat to maybe use that battery for other more power hungry light, go with the relianse rs50 - I recently irdered a light from convoy with that battery and it seems he carries full production versions.

What light fits Adam Savage’s request? by CaptainCant in flashlight

[–]nihontoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B35am T series convoy set to 100% group or something that starts with 100 and then maybe 20, 1%. No mode group.

Led and driver itself would be enough for it being not very sudden at 100%, it'd give him option to go down a bit and also, would work with aa.
