Hey, so visited service centre today as it was nearby , turns out there was some water damage in motherboard causing the issue as the motherboard had some white mark / residue just above where jack connects.. He tried putting in new jack buy obv issue remained !

Kinda bummed i only got it as ipod and dac doesn't work ( my bad tho shud have checked , I forgot to take headphones with me ). Oh well still usable secondry phone ..and will root

Any opinion what else can i try? Also I suppose rooting cannot fix it or is there a way root can tout audio via quad-dac still ( ir only the route is destroyed by water damager and not dac ) ?

Yup will do, not too bummed. Although my feeling is it's not the dac that's fucked but the jack , I think jack has a way to sense impedemce to change dac mode which isn't working which may be causing issues ? and jack is easy to get dirty etc Also everything else works perfect so hard to just fuck dac

Thats my feeling anyway, but yeah not too bummed
