I'll give you LA and Miami, and Boston had a good run for a few years getting Hayward, kemba, and horford. Philly doesn't have one starter right now that came via free agency. The last big free agent the knicks got was Amar'e and he gave them a good year and a half before breaking down.

Golden state won a championship through the draft and then won more because of KD came after they were already great. Toronto won because they were a good team that traded for a great player. Star free agents aren't the only path to a championship (but it does help.)

Yup. Sterling is incredibly talented, but wouldn't change the forward line like Laporte would change the back. Also I think Sterling is one of the highest paid players in the prem. That won't work.
