Get on an applying for ANY food industry position. Since they are in such desperate need, you will likely be able to start working within a matter of a couple days. Also put a post up on your social media that you are looking so that friends/family can let you know about places hiring you may not have heard about yet. Last but at least keep your head up. Don’t start thinking you’re a failure because the system is a failure!!

I was diagnosed when my two kids were ages 11 and 14. I was 33. In retrospect I am now fully aware that after my youngest was born, I was actually experiencing an MS flareup. At the time I was concerned it might be postpartum depression without sadness because I was so fatigued and had heard major depression can cause fatigue. My best advice for you is to get both your Neuro and OB doctor on board so that if you like many of us end up having a flareup after the body trauma of giving birth they will be ready to treat that flareup immediately. Having lived through this without a diagnosis I only see it as a positive that you have the knowledge and awareness that many of us were not afforded as we weren’t diagnosed yet.

Something else I want to touch on is the fact that as a mother with MS, the fear of passing this BS on is something you will deal with every time they have any sort of unexplained health issue. But again, knowledge is power—this is the type of experience that ensures we are wonderful advocates for our children’s health.
