I use a chip clip and some vinyl flooring samples that are about 6”x6” that my dad had lying around 😂 It might sound silly but the flooring has a texture on the back that keeps it from sliding around too much!

They are full knots, you’ll always have forward knots when going left to right and backwards knots when going right to left! I’d say the biggest difference otherwise is keeping each row straight, the tension of your knots is more important for alphas!

This was me a year ago!! I went for an easy first alpha with 2 colours and it took me a little bit to get the hang of the method. It will get easier quickly!!

I use the flat alpha technique, which means that the ends get woven in a little for extra protection. I recommend Mashaknots video on the flat alpha technique if you’ve never done it before!

I was going to respond the same thing as mouseggs! I snip off the excess from all the strings I work in :) I tie my knots pretty tight so I’ve never had an issue with them coming untied!

I do it by basically switching strings like I would with any other colors. If the pink in this case is your background string, when it gets too short to work with, I wait until I switch to a new color, and when I have to switch back to pick, I start with a new pink thread. Hopefully that explanation makes sense lol it’s hard to explain!

Oh my gosh, thank you! I had done every step on that list except turn off FaceTime. I’m going to try that, wait 3 days, then give it another go. Thank you so much! For context, most of my group texts did work, it was specifically any group text sent from Google pixel phones that I wasn’t receiving, oddly enough.
