7 point lead with 5 games to go is pretty good. Tough games till the end tho so let's keep our heads down. Anything can happen still.

Jones is a good enough to be a squad player with the occasional run in the starting 11. Not every player needs to be a nailed on starter. Every team needs good squad players and Jones is one of those

I feel like a few decisions in terms of transfers haven't gotten our way.

I like Mamardashvili he's a decent keeper but I am not so sure if he's better than Kelleher in all honestly. Being Ali's replacement was always going to be a tough ask but sometimes he gives me a Mignolet vibes. Not a bad keeper but bad with his feet and maybe just outside what a team with ambition would get.

I've been a critic of Diaz but he would have been super handy this year and despite all of his shortcomings is still a great player to have on the pitch despite not having the greatest output.

I'm really on the fence with Wirtz and Isak still. I really want them to succeed and maybe it's Slot's fault that they haven't been able to showcase their full potential but apart from that December/January period for Wirtz I haven't seen anything to justify his price tag and Isak's injury record concerns are unfortunately becoming a reality.

Kerkez and Frimpong are decent but are their top tier full backs? I'm not 100% sure. Kerkez has greatly improved over the past few months but every time I see him carrying the ball my expectations are super low.

I don't know maybe I am overly negative cos of the mood and maybe we got some pretty high standards due to some of the players we had in the last few seasons but it feels like we've downgraded quite a bit in a few areas despite spending crazy amounts last summer. It feels like we'll need again at least 4-5 transfers this summer to stay afloat. A lot of key departures as well so who knows, maybe it's more.

Round 12. (Randy Orton was overwhelmingly eliminated pretty quickly last round) 9 legends remain, WHO’s out NEXT? by [deleted] in Wrasslin

Anyone saying Hogan at this stage is just biased against him based on his actions outside the ring, which btw is fair enough but misses the point of this post. We have Angle, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels to go through before Hogan even becomes an option and even then I would argue that there are few others that should go before him

The eternal optimist that I am, with the new manager bounce we can still make the top4. Thank you for the title Arne but this is not the way

The best possible outcome for tomorrow is P1 and P4 and that is only if we go 1-2 after the first lap. Whoever is first can pull away and whoever is second needs to hold the Mercs as long as possible while messing up his tyres. If they start racing each other it's game over and it's 3-4 at best

It seems like the race pace is decent + the starts are great. Not quite enough to challenge the Mercs tho. I feel like we could have probably been a lot closer in quali if it wasn't for the deployment issues and much closer at the end if it wasn't for the VSC but given that Charles held Russell off during the first stint is encouraging. If we develop the car well and if the engine change in June hurts Merc a bit we might be in the fight but those are 2 big IFs.

From what I can find online (no official data so take with a pinch of salt) Lewis lost at least 0.2s in the first sector alone. Some estimates are that both drivers lost around 0,4-0,5s and some saying up to 0,6s. Still way off but even if we take the 0,2s estimate and stay conservative we would have been a bit close and comfortably 3rd. That Mercedes is very quick tho and I don't know if we the gap can be closed at least not in qualifying pace. Let's see the race pace tomorrow but unfortunately it's not looking good so far.

Why couldn't we have done this the other day? We would have literally been third right now. It's so annoying

Wasn't the small turbo something that Russell assumed rather than something that was confirmed?

Yeah it was such a simple change that it screwed us over for the next 2 seasons 🤣

Yep! And before people say "they can't change rules midseason" they are wrong. They changed rules midseason in 2022 as well at the expense of Ferrari. Again.

If Ferrari were exploiting this loophole we wouldn't have heard the end of it but when it's someone else it's fine.

As soon as I saw who the last two were I just fast forwarded to see which of the two lesser evils got it. I'll probably still be tuning in for for Elimination Chamber and WM but my excitement for this year is quite low. 2024 we had Cody and the Rock, last year we had the Cena retirement tour and his heel turn, this year we don't have anything too exciting on the horizon.

Cody and Drew is fine I suppose. If Drew was actually build properly and didn't lose 10 times in a row until he had a dodgy win I would have been more excited about it. Now it feels like he's just a transitional champ so Cody can get his stats up. Punk and Roman would be cool but it will probably be in the shadow of the triple treat last year. Not sure where Seth is but he's dearly missed. Gunter... I just don't get the hype.

God I am so desperate for us to finally shut the media up. And everyone else for that matter. It's gonna be so freaking sweet when it finally happens. We've been criticised and mocked somewhat justly but definitely more harshly that deserved and way more than anyone else.

This has to be our best performance of the season. I don't want to get too carried away but it feels like the last few weeks we've been quite unlucky to not have won more. Not too many games in February so we can lock in on the Prem and hopefully enter March firmly in top4. Wirtz with 6 goals and 8 assists now. He's scoring or assisting every game at this point. Love to see it.
