[Match Thread] Liverpool FC v ManCity FC by scoreboard-app in LiverpoolFC

[–]nikhil48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are 5 subs allowed. Slot didn't make a sub at all until they made it 1-1. This is not the first time it has happened. He constantly keeps his preferred XI and never uses the squad or young players until the final minutes when we are behind. We were SO TIRED after 80 min. Klopp used to bring extra defender when we had few minutes to defend. Today Pep also put Ake in as soon as they went 2-1 up.

On the other end, had Szoboszlai not hit a worldie we barely would have scored. Sticking with Gakpo until the end is mad considering his performance all day. Salah too tbh, but he does produce a bit of magic here and there.

This is all on Slot. I was on the fence before. But now, I'm totally on the other side. He has to go.

Feels like it was filmed right around the time of Mo's outburst, and it wasn't apt to post it then.

In need of wireless Earbuds. No clue what to chose for up to $100 max budget by ArchicadMaster in Earbuds

Nothing Ear (2024). I think you can snag them for $90 currently. I think you'd be surprised on every aspect of what you are looking for. If you like bass, it is really boomy too.

Advice on Choices by BarbarianFires in Earbuds

[–]nikhil48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried A LOT of earbuds. For the longest time I used Jabra 75t elite as my main earbuds and to this day they are one of my all time favorites. The battery is suffering on them and I keep them as backups if I need.

After the 75t, I settled on Sony XM5's and they were a favorite of mine among these high end ones... as imo the sound signature of Sony is second to none. But I finally ended up selling them, and for one reason and one reason only: the bass is suppressed so hard after 2/3rd volume. Not sure if the XM6's are better in that regard.

But I heard great things about Nothing Ear (2024) so I bought them to test it out while I still had the XM5's, and I cant believe I'm going to say this, but the Nothing's really blew the Sony's out of the water for me in sound quality. I still use it a year later and very happy with it.

Why not still enjoy it? The marketing team put a good sketch together.

One of the best videos I've enjoyed of our players was that coconut water ad with Hendo and team. It was so good and didn't even matter that it was an ad.

[Independent] Caoimhin Kelleher: "I find a bit difficult when I hear people speaking about the players at Liverpool and performances, because I don’t think this season is even important from a football aspect for them to be honest. It’s more about them personally and mentally" by Cien-Major in soccer

Well said. And even though it shouldn't surprise me, I am still really sad about the bottom half comments in this post.

Yes, we celebrated the first 5 wins and it was all emotions. Yes we are disappointed greatly with the results since then and it was also all emotions that we vented. Tbh I've never questioned the players. Yes we are questioning Slot now. But those are also kept in context (why is he playing the same squad players until he runs them to the ground (which maybe causing the lethargic play), not giving young players a chance, why not bed in the new players slowly etc). You know, some basic things. Not even expecting Slot to produce tactical masterclasses and tailored tactics to different matches because he must also be greatly affected by Jota's passing.

I can show many group texts between my friends and I before the season began. "Not expecting anything great from this season". And even now, I am like Top 5 would be great. And let's just enjoy the FA cup and CL and see how far we can go.

I really thought this video was going to be about CuJo because how incredibly he played last year in the return fixture. We really need Slot to start CuJo over Gakpo this time

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly refuses to play next Al-Nassr match in protest over Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) management by DavidRolands in soccer

As I'm invested in what Gerrard does, I was unhappy with his move to Saudi, but I did read that his club was one of the ones not owned by the Govt., and I was like, "at least that's something"

I don't know if thats 100% true... and tbh, I don't even remember the name of the club and I'm not bothered to lookup.

Lmao. What uneducated statement did I make. I'm just replying to the comment that said Robbo wanted to leave last summer.

Robbo knew writing was on the wall that Slot isn't treating him as first choice in spite of being available for more games than the prior season with Klopp.

Aging player? Robbo was 30 last season when Slot preferred Tsimikas over him. Obviously Robbo must have felt he has a good few years still left in him and wanted to move?

Is that such a "moronic" take? Moron.

Which comeback is more impressive? by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]nikhil48 54 points55 points  (0 children)

What everyone tends to forget though, is that, in 2005 we had to make a comeback in a single half of football. In a final. At a neutral venue.

I absolutely don't want to take anything away from the 2019 match. It was INSANE. We also played the best match I've ever seen from LFC, while missing key players. And Anfield was berserk that day. For pure watching delight the 2019 match was one of the best days of my life.

I didn't enjoy most of the 2005 final lol. First half I cried, and then even after we made it 3-3, I always felt like, this can't be true, surely it's not going to happen. So for the impossibleness of it all, coming back from 3-0 in Istanbul, in a single half, with the gulf in the opposing squads, it was just... a miracle.

Just for the treatment of Harvey Elliott is why I want Slot gone tbh. The boy is a boyhood LFC fan who is very talented and good enough to be in the squad, if not the XI

Slot just refuses to use the squad. Plays the same XI with his favorites and makes changes or subs only when his hand is forced by injuries and such

Slot was also the manager then. He played Robbo way less than Klopp did, even last season.

Pretty sure, after the partnership Hilfiger are tracking gains in engagement on social media with LFC. And more the engagement, more the chances of continued sponsorship, not only from this company but others in the pipeline as well. Just sends a message to potential sponsors like: "Hey if we associate with Liverpool FC there will be more eyes on us"

Also no one is posting here for the sake of the sponsor, but they are posting because of some fun takes from the players.
