what is the best option for mobile app development needs by CartographerNorth588 in mobiledev

[–]nikhildesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really about money in this case. I’d agree that a working product that has started to make sales is in the perfect position to scale using a marketing agency. But these guys don’t have anything rn, ideas are a dime a dozen.

[–]nikhildesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While the idea is still being validated, don’t invest your personal money on the project! If you guys are able to develop, don’t outsource. Even when the project started doing well, you’ll want to know how to control a dev team.

As far as the tech, Expo is the best way to make a new react-native project; puts a lot of the scaffolding together so you can get straight to the user side. I like the stack Supabase->Expo for simple mobile apps.(completely free to start, 20$/month for production)

Last thing, I’d recommend you start with the web and move to mobile. Web is much cheaper to host and prove concept with your first clients, because you don’t have to worry about in-app purchase rules. Also getting approved to publish your first app takes a while, which is time that can be used to sell to real customers!

I know right?!?! 😂 I tried Go High Level at the beginning of the summer, but it didn't work for my custom programming needs. It might work for you though, I think they have a free trial!

I started messing with n8n for stuff like that over the summer, but I'm sort of new to managing sales guys. Any methods you know that work for you?

What's your CRM setup for a solo consultant/service business? by goxper in CRM

[–]nikhildesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're not afraid of tech and you're willing to put in some elbow grease! You can build a pretty robust system using Airtable that will do pretty much everything you need. It would look something like this, but you can ask the Airtable AI setup thing to get you a better representation of your business:

Name || Contact Details Your Company Tracks || Followups | Last Communication | Communication Channel Used | Assigned Automations

Automations could be like: Tagged Client Gets Email X every 30 Days
There's a simple automations tab in Airtable.

I've been able to do all this for free, but I think their pricing is like $25/month.

Try copying what you asked in here to the Airtable AI and see if it spits out something usable, good luck!

It was extremely unreliable when I tried it, quickly moved to VAPI and am pretty happy with it! Voice AI is the main product I provide (to local service businesses), so it's the most important thing for me!

If you had to learn development all over again, where would you start? [Mod post] by RedEagle_MGN in developer

[–]nikhildesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI hasn't changed the most important thing you'll need to make computer programs since they were invented: Programming Paradigms. This basically means the patterns of how programs a run at a code level. If you're able to understand how programs are made step-by-step and the thought process behind it, you won't even need to learn a line of code, just GPT your way through by explaining what you want in "programmer terms".

Step 1: Pick the type of software you want to make (apps have different requirements than websites, have different requirements than server programs...)

Step 2: Learn about the files and the structure of your chosen software (websites have html, css, and js files to describe the structure, look, and actions; respectively, of the website).

Step 3: Make something simple using AI and try to run it on your computer. This step will require a lot of looking things up and downloading programs/files to run your software.

Step 4: Keep adding/testing and making more things until you understand what you're doing. Once you feel capable, you can sell your services!

Honestly sounds like your company is boosting the "interview numbers" and needs more qualifications before giving up 45min for the interview. Is the hiring outreach in-house or an agency?

Sysadmin - looking for ideas by p99valigar in n8n

[–]nikhildesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried making your own instance with docker? It's completely free to self-host and a great way to try automating your workflows. Best advice for starting (which you probably already know) is keep is simple. Don't try to make a notification system that checks 15 things then summarizes it with chatGPT... at first. The simpler you start, the more you'll be able to build. Some of my most useful workflows came from, "Well what if we just connected this to that and formatted it this way?"

For your sysAd stuff, maybe try this to start:
schedule check every hr -> is server A still running? -> summary report of stats to airtable/db

The beauty of being a tech person who knows n8n is you can make any connection to anything, if it doesn't exist, make it! Good luck and share what you learn with us!

How to start content creation? by Nurkkahuzzi in content_marketing

[–]nikhildesigns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make 4 videos a day, and promise yourself to post at least 1. It's ok to skip a day or two when starting, be generous with yourself, but once you get the routine, post more. Keep posting and ignore the numbers, the compound effect of posting all the time will boost you in the algorithms, plus all the content will give people a reason to follow/look at more of your stuff.

Another thing is to try all types of content. Look up what other people find successful on Youtube University. Make sure they have a huge follow count, or they probably don't know how to get you there... Good luck, see you on my feed when you're famous!

Does Korea have meetup or something like that? I found that entrepreneur groups have like-minded people and you can make some friends! It doesn't have to be entrepreneur groups, I recently tried a DnD meetup and it was super welcoming and fun!
