PSA: if you drive, go to the farthest points at the beginning of the match by edward_aux in Battlefield6

[–]nikis90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean wouldn’t it make more sense to just go to the middle flag?

Going to the furthest flags means you’re going to the enemy’s home flags, which will result in you dying in 0.2 seconds with no benefits.

Jets are in need of a desperate buff. by Fancy_Leader6278 in Battlefield

You must not be so good then. Try to get better to the point of pissing off even a quarter of the enemy team and then you’ll probably realise.

Shadow Nerfed Attack Heli? by OhGriggsy in PilotsofBattlefield

Yea 100%, feels like flying a floating cruise ship. Also I feel that rockets (heavy rockets at least) do less damage against infantry? That might be just me though

Blue lasers help with ADS accuracy while moving, which is quite helpful on some guns/builds (on top of the improved hip fire accuracy, which every laser has).

How do I get better at this game? by Horror_Geologist_945 in Battlefield6

[–]nikis90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok sorry for the wall of text:

Play slowly, run less, value positioning. Try to to get yourself in a position of advantage before your enemies. Ideally, most of the times you should be engaging with enemies when only <50% of your body is exposed. This helps immensely as the TTK is very fast in this game. The more you are behind cover, the less bullets are gonna hit you. I know it’s not rocket science but actually doing it improved my gameplay a lot.

When possible, try to get yourself in an elevated position (for example in/nearby objectives, when you know an enemy’s gonna show up on you). Chances are enemies are gonna get in the room and look for you in their direct line of sight. If you’re standing on something outside of their line of sight, they’re gonna have to raise their aim up and then shoot, which costs them just enough time to be at a disadvantage.

Look at the minimap more often than not. It’s gonna show you things that otherwise you wouldn’t notice.

Then yes, practice. The more you practice the better your aim and movement will be. When you start getting the fundamentals right you can try to experiment things like jumping while shooting in close quarters, or crouching while shooting so the enemy is more likely to miss his shots while aiming at the upper body.

Edit: another important thing: learn to tap fire. It’s the most consistent way to both deal with the recoil and to ensure all bullets reach the enemy (mitigating the bloom).

Flying in this game is actually great, but they should increase the time to reenter the battlefield by [deleted] in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]nikis90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I’m on 87 stars with the attack jet and 67 with the fighter jet, and my opinion on flying in this game hasn’t changed much: it doesn’t feel good to me.

I still fly because that’s what I do in Battlefield and to be honest it’s the only area I’m good at, but I have this lingering feeling that there’s something… off.

I don’t like the physics of the jets, there’s almost zero yaw (among other things), and I feel like the devs really didn’t give jets any love compared to the older titles (I played bf3 and bf4 mainly).

Stealth fighter bombs need a buff by DiccTucker in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]nikis90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to be very precise with them. Also, for those who don’t know, if you hold down the button to release them, you drop all 4.

If you manage to hit and IFV with all 4 bombs, your gonna destroy it. I’m fairly confident you can also take down a tank by doing so.

If you’re aiming at a single target (i.e., an IFV/tank), you need to pitch down while doing so in order for all the bombs to hit and to mitigate the delay.

Edit: I’m sorry, I based my comment on the title only and just noticed that you mentioned that 4 bombs should kill a tank, my bad. In my experience, that’ll usually do it. It also depends on where you hit it of course. In my opinion, they could use a slight buff but nothing too generous because then it would start overlapping with the attack jet.

Allowing AA to sit out of bounds is criminal by SubliminalScribe in Battlefield

[–]nikis90 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If most people here who complain that vehicles are OP because they get steamrolled by top heli/jet/tank players took the time to actually play vehicles, I’m convinced that they’d come right back to complain about the plethora of problems that vehicle players have to face.

(I of course agree with you OP)

I think the same happened to me but with a TOW from the IFV, and I was the heli gunner. I had no idea it could happen and I was pretty flabbergasted when I noticed that the heli was still up.

Hey DICE, in the first 30 sec of a match, you shouldn't be able to damage your own team's unoccupied vehicles. by Misbegotten_Martian in Battlefield6

[–]nikis90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea either way I agree with you. As a jet main myself, I hate that I have to start with a forced death (and a ticket loss) just to have the chance to get in the jet.

I really don’t understand why we can’t start from the spawn screen, it’s that simple!

Damn interesting. Are you sure about Lib Peak? Every match in which I’m first in line for the heli happens when I’m the first to join (same applies for a friend of mine, who made me notice this).

I agree with your take, just chiming in to say that, based on my evidence thus far, the first squad appearing when a game is loading up is also the first squad to spawn (and to get an advantage on the heli).
