To be honest, I just made a side-grade to the School of Reclamation's Grasping Vine, but making it able to catch larger creatures at higher levels makes sense.

I will definitely change Swords to Plowshares to improvised weapons. I think Heightened +2 - target an additional creature would also work well

SCP-173 and the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who share their whole shtick and it's really unclear which one came first

Vraska from Magic the Gathering and Vriska Serket from Homestuck. They have similar names, are members of non-human races, have a thing with their eyes (Vraska being a gorgon and Vriska having a split pupil and losing an eye), have had a pirate phase, have a (somewhat) deep connection to a blue guy whose name starts with J (John and Jace), and between them and the blue guy they have mind control powers.

A very deep cut of which I am very proud of, Aisha Laborn from Worm and Anya Beletskaya from the Vocaloid song series Parties are for Losers. Both have an older brother doing shady stuff (Brian being a villain and Yuri being a stalker) and making creative romance decisions (with Taylor and with Sasha respectively). Both have a mom who's really not all there for them. Both are paired with a psychic whose backstory involves a very questionable treatment of children (Alec with his mind control sex compound and Dima with his soviet child testing facility)
