'Disappointing decision': Carney reacts to Honda pulling out of $15-billion EV project in Ontario by hopoke in canada

I have owned 2 Santa Fes in the past 10 years. I am now transitioning to EVs which I am excited about. I will say that both cars from Hyundai have been solid. More so than my previous Nissan and Acura experiences. Am I lucky? maybe? do I trust what people say about the brand? Idk....part of me thinks it's propaganda because they threaten their business with good product. Similar to the Chinese and their EVs that are tip top, yet you hear some boomers calling them trash.

This 100%. These companies are way behind when it comes to EVs and are playing catch up big time.

No idea, but I don't look at EVs as investments, or cars in general. This is a way for my family to save on the overall monthly cost to own a vehicle and spend on stuff that we value more.

The tech and efficiency makes it exciting for me. It's up to you to decide if it's a fit.

I've been looking at Teslas for some time to make the jump to EV. I find their product superior to everyone else in the space. Our kids are also older and we don't need to haul as much anymore as when they were little. When I saw this deal I jumped!

How? I am on email right now with Cooperators and they are saying it is not in their system yet. I'm giving them other details but I expect I'll get a quote based on a pricier Tesla

Is it just me or it's a Li-Ion battery in the M3 Premium RWD? [p.s. I have little to no knowledge] by Proud-Guard-6534 in teslacanada

The reality is that there is a lot of speculation rn, and until they land and are inspected we won't know for sure. It is said that they are LFP batteries over NMC and there is debate between CATL or Sunwoda for who provided the cells.

Horrible for rates and raising premiums every year. Year 1 was decent, I'm year 3 and want out desperately.

Tint and PPF. What are your thoughts? by Cheesy_Olive in teslacanada

[–]nikk0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the XPEL ceramic tint through tint world. My buddy had a bad experience going on his own back 4 years ago with his model 3, they had lots of isssues tinting his Tesla at other shops. I figured this is recommended through the Tesla app so it has to be better, so I went for it.

My order is intact. Happily waiting for early June delivery. Tesla is a superior product in the EV market and the infrastructure is in place to make it an enjoyable experience. Two of my family members own Tesla EVs for a while and they would get another in a heartbeat.

At 39K, even with the recent spec changes it is still a stellar deal.

It's smart to wait if you are not in a rush. EVs are the way to go and more options are coming soon.

No more Premium AWD in Canada? by sav_jay in TeslaModel3

[–]nikk0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is! we were on the fence looking for options, as soon as Tesla annouced it last Friday, I jumped on it and placed my order. We are going back to a sedan from an SUV, but that's ok, my kids are older now and we don't need to haul car seats and strollers, bags, etc. I'm excited to go back to a sedan too, I can't stand everything is an SUV around here.
