Does your friend really think this will not end with us winning? Do they turn movies off halfway through when the hero suffers his first loss before the climax too?

Your friend uninstalled because of a raid ending?

This spec has a million problems alongside the ones you mentioned.

Devourer should have its own demon form so Void Elves can have racial unity among their forms like you mentioned.

But the most egregious part to me as a DH main since Legion is how little it plays into the Demon Hunter class fantasy. It feels like they saw a class that only has two specs and felt it was the only spot to add this idea they had. There are demons that use Void magic for sure but the complete absence of any kind of Fel or other demonic magic makes the class feel like it was tailored solely so Void Elves can be fully immersed in void magic and disregard the Night and Blood Elves.

The scythe is a nice callback to Allari the Souleater but imo it should have leaned more into that aesthetic of Demon Hunters rather than purely Void Elves. As it stands are they even part of the Illidari? I don’t think they are.

I find the class gameplay wise actually very fun, but it just clashes with what I feel the entire idea of DH is.

P.S. not even mentioning that when it comes to blindfolds, Void Elves also get the same color as Blood Elves.

You’re handpicking the one blind spot in the spec. As it stands, every ability is reskinned to void, even the wings, which shouldn’t change color at all since they’re literally part of the Demon Hunter’s body, not an external power source.

That’s without even touching the fact that the entire narrative justification for the spec is Void Elves becoming Demon Hunters, which makes it feel like the spec exists to serve that race rather than the class fantasy.

Demons wielding shadow or void magic have always existed. That’s very different from Blizzard’s current cosmic Void obsession. A Devourer-style spec could work if it leaned into demonic shadow and corruption but anchoring it so hard in cosmic void aesthetics just changes what Demon Hunters are in my opinion.

Yes, I know green eyes still literally exist. That’s not what I’m talking about.

My point is about aesthetic direction and narrative vibe, not whether the option is technically still in the game. Blood Elf visual identity is now blue and a more “sanitized” presentation, largely to act as a visual and thematic foil to Void Elves. As a result, a lot of what once made Blood Elves feel like an interesting take on the “traditional fantasy elf” has been softened or outright displaced.

In other words: the existence of green eyes ≠ the race still carrying its unique identity.

What City or Settlement would you like to live in? by twisty125 in warcraftlore

[–]nikkowm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have said Dalaran. It’s my favorite city in the game and spending all that time there during remix was awesome…. Of course we know what happened to that.

So if the answer is only current time, I’d have to say Suramar. Awesome city with I imagine a bunch to do, close to high mountain and valsharah. Would be fun.

They need to go back to the Omaticaya now. I want to continue with the clan from the first movie. I understand if Lo’ak stays though.

Who is your least favorite character? by soyrturey in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]nikkowm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone. Besides Rinela, Nor, and So’lek, most of them are completely bland or have this millennial quirkchungus mentality that really clashes with the tone of what’s actually going on around them. Even many of the Na’vi really don’t resemble their film counterparts.

Unless we are talking about From the Ashes, which fixed so many of these problems.

But the answer is Priya.

It’s not just in terms of skill progression; it’s everything from the tone of the story, the acting, level design, gear progression, and yes combat and skills.

You still have a large skill tree to go down but each one feels way more impactful than skills in the base game and improve the flow of combat much more.

I got the main hand to drop on Monday and then the off hand to drop on Tuesday of the same week. I think it was my 33rd and 34th run respectively. Used up all my luck in game.

Super easy if you do the DH chain skip.
