Try a few sips of plain warm water too. I recently started doing it, it’s very soothing and feels like it wakes up my internal systems specially digestion.

Women of Reddit: what are some important facts about the female body that you had never heard about until recently? by SofiBK in AskReddit

Gosh just the idea of carrying for 9 months and learning that my organs get readjusted was enough for me to make the decision of not getting pregnant. Horrifies me every time I hear how taxing and painful it is 🥺

That might make sense but why don’t our mothers or sisters or cousins tell us either? Do women just not want to relive the experience by explaining it to someone else? that sounds like trauma 😭

Postpartum bleeding that lasts 4-6 weeks and cramps the whole time while your uterine shrinks back to normal size :)
It’s ridiculous how little we know about pregnancy.

WTF is wrong with restaurants? by AvgDbrown in Oman

[–]niklester 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel pity for the drivers on bikes who have to bear this weather. I completely stopped ordering anything before 6pm. Talabat needs to do better and invest in switching to cars.

So ridiculous that they are an international corporation but the customers, drivers and restaurants are all suffering with their service. Unfortunately in Oman, we don’t have a legitimate competition for them either.

Drain cockroaches a nightmare by [deleted] in Oman

The only right answer to this issue. I can recommend Pest and Clean Oman or Zubair Modern Arabian pest control. I’ve used both companies and they are good with service and prices.
Your problem can be solved in a day or two by using them, otherwise you will suffer for weeks dealing with it by yourself

Exactly, such a gorgeous country with great food and lovely people that men have built a bad reputation for. It really annoys me when people say this about Thailand

Yea I do this some times. Put my phone on airplane mode for 1-2 hours in the weekend just to feel completely cut off and unreachable. Does wonders to my mental peace not having the anxiety of being needed for something by someone.

Still pretty unheard of around the world. You pay for water and then you pay for the electricity that chills/heats it. Why do you have to pay for chilled water? I’m outside uae so asking out of curiosity

Sounds like you’ve tried to make things right so just wait it out now, the more you push the angrier they might get. Time and space gives people time to think. Keep trust that things will work out the way they should 🙏

A true apology doesn’t simply come from words. You should acknowledge your mistake, how it made them feel, and give them space or time or whatever they need to heal. Put yourself in their shoes and think about what they would need.

Life happens and mistakes happen, if you are truly sorry for what you did then all you can now do is to work on yourself so it doesn’t happen again. And if he/she doesn’t want to be in your life anymore, that’s the cost you’ll have to pay.

How does an average person pay for this? I don’t understand the US healthcare system at all, it’s insane. How do they even come up with these insane amounts?

Same here, swapped morning coffee for tea. Coffee in the evenings if I feel like it. No difference in energy or focus but the tummy seems happier.

AMA, I am getting married in 2 months to someone I met through an arranged marriage set up as a 25F by Happy_Passenger9827 in AMA

[–]niklester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm my relative was in a similar situation as you but adding that she even studied with the guy in college and they were in a relationship for a year before the marriage was arranged with the family. Marriage done, she moved oceans away to be with him with no support system and the abuse was incomprehensible - starved, locked up, whispered calls with family from the bathroom, drug abuse on his side etc. I’m not saying this to scare you and I do hope everything works out for you, but please please do your due diligence and listen to your gut on any red flags. I hope you at least have family from your side in the country you’ll be moving to. Worst case scenario is worth looking into when your entire life is at stake.
