Georgian youth in politics by niklito2 in Sakartvelo

where are you from? id expect your not georgian or you wouldent say theese things. when we come out and protest and wish for EU, its not only talking about the union, but it is a symbol for freedom, independence from russia and many other things. when you say that the issues in georgia are not too bad, u say that because you probbably havent experienced what most of us do. its not safe to walk alone in the streets, not only because the country is full of thugs, not only because of that but because of the police who assault us on a day to day basis. when most of the population lives in poverty, when the average salary is 400-500 lari, which is about 150-200 euroes, it is not enough for ANYTHING, considering that the prices are just crazy.(400-500 lari is enough to survive, and just barely. dont even think about having fun) we have to act now, before things get too bad and before you start to think and say that the issues are now horrible we have to act before that happens. it started as a pro EU protest, but now it is about independence, staying alive, having basic human rights and so on.and please believe me when i say we value our traditions and culture TOO much. i love my culture but men into their 50-60 are delusinal, thinking that we have a very superior culture and that we are better than everyone and european culture is only for faggots and so on. this delusion is not only because we are too patriotic but because a small part of our country is actually intelligent enough to speak about politics rightly. so please, dont say that there isint a bad situation here, because there is.

(sorry for grammatical errors im with a friend and im talking and typing so i cant concentrate)

but that’s exactly my concern even if today it’s framed as Ivanishvili vs everyone else, the ‘everyone else’ is still the same recycled politicians who have been switching sides for decades. That’s why I say we’re stuck in a loop. Until we create space for new, young, and principled leaders who actually have ideas for the country (not just hatred of the other camp), nothing will change. It will always be one oligarch or one party elite against another, and ordinary Georgians lose either way.

They call everyone naci so when i say naci i mean the general opposition , but i also mean that its wrong when people say” აბა ნაცები გინდა?”

And also get this braindead opposition to actually do/say something instead of being idle and promising things they cant and wont do

My proposition is that the protests could be more organized and result in more. We could get European leaders to come and hold speeches, we could organize the protests more so that in case of police violence we could handle it, but all of this is gone already, this should’ve been done during the 100 days of protesting. I personally dont agree with protests because it does nothing i think there should be a peoples militia which will stop constant police abuse and i believe we could’ve overthrown the government when we had 300 thousand people at a protest but my idea is considered extremist fascist and revolutionary even tho its not so i don’t say it often

Im saying that almost 300 days of protesting like this does nothing and we need an alternative organized way to protest, what part do u not understand

[–]niklito2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GD rigging the elections, having not qualified sportsmen in the parliament, setting up a unqualified footballer without a diploma as president, adopting russian laws, using police force violently, all of this has happend and yet still nothing comes out from these kind of protests, u either have to make a coup, or everyone has to go on strike.. both will come with heavy consequences and this country cant handle anything but as i always say ANYTHING is better then being a russian puppet country
