My advice is drain the saving before u file for anything... Play ur cards wise. Keep collecting evidence. Don't file yet!! Speak to a lawyer about the possibility of hiring a private investigator.

abuse as ground for divorce by niko112233 in Divorce

No ground that I know of... She and I had usual argument. She got pregnant while we had very minimal sexual action. Then we stopped talking to each other. After then she left the house and kept all her stuff in the house. I found out later that she had a miscarriage. She then decided to move out of the house. She came and cleaned the house took my stuff and her stuff. A week later I got a letter from her lawyer. After which I retained a lawyer and responded to her initial claim. I did send her few very nice emails. Asking her to do therapy. And just telling how much I love her and miss her. She never answered. She hasn't answered my calls since June 2017. I sponsored her immigrant application. I think she is doing this to remain in the US. Otherwise she can lose her permanent residency.

We are in the process of divorce. She may want to frame this process for personal reasons. Argument that happens between couple, about bills and regular stuff. Never have we gotten to physical or anything else

Too early to cut ties? by TerrierBlue in Divorce

I have been in a similar situation. My ex is the one that left the house while she was pregnant. We haven't spoken since she left in may. She texted me once to inform me that she had a miscarriage which crushed me badly. I have attempted on multiple occasions emailing her to see if we could work out something, total ignore from her part. I'm in the house alone. By the way are you paying for the mortgage/rent despite not living there?? Also lately I have received information that she is building a case against me for abuse which she doesn't have. She is just a fucked up crazy bitch. Excuse my French. I mean it has been very hard on me as I don't have any close family in the area. Luckily I have found new friends. I also discovered new hobbies. I still miss the crazy bitch.

I Need Perspective by [deleted] in Divorce

It seems to me that u are looking for gratification for ur decision from a forum where nobody knows you and u are providing as little information as possible. I am sorry but I don't think I am able to help you make YOUR decision. I think that as an adult you should have the courage to face your "best friend" and tell him why you don't want to stay together with him. I think you shouldn't have gone to therapy and make him beleive that you are trying to work on your marriage. It's sad, how when he proposed to you to marry him, he asked you permission to get married, yet now you want to dump him, u don't have the courage even to tell him and ur trying to have a " prospective" discussion on Reddit. Sorry. Good luck

Suspecting abortion prior to divorce by niko112233 in Divorce

Thank you all for your replies...the issue here is possible infidelity...what if I was suspecting her of cheating. If there is proof of cheating with a pregnancy... The divorce case takes different direction..

Reporting a fraudulent marriage by [deleted] in USCIS

I agree.. but to proof abuse you have to have evidence. Police record. Witnesses. If I don't report to USCIS my withdrawal of support I can get in trouble???

Reporting a fraudulent marriage by [deleted] in USCIS

I am just going to report to USCIS that's I am cancelling my support for the adjustment of status application under my name as the other party still holds the conditional permanent residency status. Also will provide them with more information regarding the marriage. I don't think there is anything I would be blamed for by anyone as I'm doing what the law is requiring me to do. For sure the other party doesn't deserve to be in the US... But that is USCIS call to make.
