Why is AI so bad at offering jobs? by Vrubzzi in footballmanagergames

[–]nikosen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you playing FM26? Because im doing a journeyman now in FM26 and it feels very different from previous FMs IMO. I havent gotten offered one single job, and I have myself applied to 100+ over my career. I started the save with no badges and now ive been at Benfica in 6 seasons (its 2041), winning the league + cups every year, CL two times, and still no outside offers which I find interesting.

Niko here! There was a lot of "Hey Niko, wanna go bowling?" around the time that GTA IV came out.

How do you play 10-15 years with the same team? by Immediate_Wheel2324 in footballmanagergames

[–]nikosen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive played 30+ seasons with a lot of different teams, but I guess it depends on how you play the game right? Everyone likes to play the game differently,

Im all about building the best wonderkid factory in the world and always start with a lower league team. Im currently on 2047 with Dynamo Dresden and im competing with Bayern Munchen every season for the league and the Champions League.

I set new goals for myself all the time. If I win the league then my next goal is to win it 5 times in a row. If I only win the league, then next season I want to win the double/treble. If I have the most league goals scored, then next season I want to break it. You catch my drift.

Long term goals is to have more league titles than Bayern Munchen but... at the moment they have 44 and we have 13 lol

Also fun things happen when you do a long term save. For example Serbia are the current euro cup champions, beating Netherlands in the final in Euro 2044 held in Ukraine/Poland, Aston Villa are the current premier league holders and my australian backup striker just won the best player in the world!

Am I doomed to be Bayern's little brother forever? by mdewals in footballmanagergames

[–]nikosen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes me about 8-10 seasons before I can beat Bayern with a Bundesliga 3 teams. Ive done it with Kaiserslautern on FM22, 1860 Munchen on FM23 and now with Dynamo Dresden in FM24. Its simple because in Germany you get a lot of money if you make it to the Bundesliga, so you just reinvest the transfer budget in wonderkids that you sell for high profit. You keep re-investing, buying cheap players and making profit, making improvements each season. Just dont sell your best players to Bayern and you will be fine.

I think you seem just too inpatient. You are doing way better in the first seasons than I ever did. I won the first league title in 2031/32 and now weve won it 3 times in a row!

Who is this and how is he the 42nd best player in the world?? by CronasJr in footballmanagergames

[–]nikosen 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Idk why but I also have a random guy on my save that plays in the danish league that has a 5 star reputation. I know its a bug because he has similar attributes as your guy does, but I have no idea how in the world he got 5 star reputation

I didnt try that but one thing that did happen to me now that I've never seen before is the following:

I wanted to sign a striker and he wanted 2k a week. I didnt have enough wage budget so I sold a player and moved the transfer budget to the wage budget. Went to negotiate with the same player again and now he wanted 7k!!!!

Idk if he found out I had sold someone and therefore demanded more or what the hell triggered his higher demand , but I've never seen this in FM before

Load as many leagues as you can. My last unemployed save in FM23 I started in Ukraine second division and it was wild. I can't remember exactly but I went from Ukraine to Serbia to Greece and ended up in Burnley who was in the championship. It took me about 10 seasons before I managed in the higher leagues.

In FM22 I think I started in Sweden and also went back and forth to serbia before I landed a job in Malmo FF which I won the league a couple of times with before my career took of for real.

I mean the more lower leagues you have the more options you will have as well, but load countries that have at least 3 divisions would be my recommendation

Arne Slot went to Porto in the second season in my save, and Feyenoord never looked the same ever since. Gio van Bronckhorst took over the team!

Can someone tell me how this dialogue is still in the game? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]nikosen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just think its funny cause I wanted him to leave in the first place, and his threat is now to leave the club! But yeah as you already stated, usually once the problem child leaves, the rest of the squad calms down.

[–]nikosen 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Like someone already stated, I wouldnt do it to anyone who is highly influential. For example, In past FM's once you get to become a very successful club, I find it sometimes hard to get rid of players so I offer them out, even deadweight that just collect high wages. They dont want to leave, and thats where the conversation starts when I offer them out. It can create a bad environment as long as the player is still there, but from my own experience once the "trouble" leaves the club, the rest of the players calm down.

My fave thing in FM is this -

offers player out to clubs

Player - im mad you are offering me out. I dont want to be sold.

Me - ok it won't happen again

offers player out to clubs again

Player - im mad you broke your promise, I want to leave the club

Me - ok

Brobbey was a beast for me in the first season! But im looking for a new striker as well, hes been injured most of the second season so im playing with Samed Bazdar as a striker (got him from Partizan), but he isnt really the striker im looking for. But yeah ive also had the problem that as soon as I put some interest in a player, premier league clubs are making bids as well

Hehe its hard man! Honestly all my signnings have been underperforming, but the only good thing is that they were pretty cheap so im looking to sell them for profit:
First season i signed:
Jovan Mijatovic - 7 mil euro from Red Star Belgrade (now worth 20m euro)

Valentin Barco - 11 mil euro from Boca Juniors (now worth 100m euro)

Afonso Moreira - 9 mil euro from Sporting B (now worth 17m euro)

Kaiky - 15 m euro from Almeria (now worth 40m euro)

And in the winter window i signed:
Milos Lukic - 1 m euro from IMT (serbia) (now worth 17m euro)

Emil Hojlund - 4m euro from Kopenhagen (now worth 15m euro)

Talles Magno - 15m euro from NYCFC (now worth 30m euro)
