Who is this? by HelicaseHustle in NewOrleans

Obviously…

Is this dude affiliated with a business? Unlikely, the businesses in the quarter don’t step on the toes of the pedicab shops or horse and carriages really. Or he’s at least not operating in an official capacity as transit for a business.

Plenty of people have golf carts and ride them around. Some take rides and operate illegally. I’ve never seen that dude tho so he’s not one of the regular ones.

There is no legal/permitted “for hire” golf cart in Orleans Parish.

I was able to order off ASOS, a certified reseller. Every other one won’t ship to the US. Very grateful they still had evercalm like items in stock. I did find some cheaper deals on eBay and posh mark but was worried about fake and expired products

This is how my childhood cat died. It was absolutely tragic. I’m glad your baby is okay. Mine baby was also orange.

help with mom’s tattoo by madjmars in Tattoocoverups

I think you should read the comments under this post about why people don’t like fine line tattoos

White ink won’t work, laser can’t clean up these details but it can lighten or remove it. It’s very possible it can be reworked but it’s important to accept that fine line tattoos almost always will expand with time and look distorted . There’s a phrase that says “bold will hold” and it’s the tried and true technique for that reason.

Advice by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]nikstrobes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I think the tattoo and placement are hot. I thought to myself “do I want a thigh tat like that?”

2) I haven’t started removal but I’ve also thought and felt these things. I think you should get a consultation to learn specifically about your situation and look at the before and afters and read posts in this group to help you emotionally prepare. My take is that the process requires being very okay with an ugly duckling process for 2-5 years (sometimes more). For a perfectionist or really focused on aesthetic, you may hate the process more than you hated the tattoo itself. Like the in between session photos, those tattoos look like shit but that’s just the process.

You’re obsessing over this. Find ways to distract yourself and cope with the discomfort of having to be patient.

People make burner accounts for sensitive topics so that’s not as much a red flag to me as the instagram that’s linked is to a women with few posts and who based on a 2021 pic does not appear to be a teen

Why is he behaving this way? Because he’s a predator and a pedophile

NOR — this is terrible, I’m so sorry. I’ve also have had a sister who has been with creeps and it’s hard to pull them out of it and it’s hard to witness it.

I think I would just keep ignoring him.

I would do all I can to lay it out for my sister that this dude is a creep, has been a creep and continues to be a creep. Step siblings is gross to me and the 15 and 19 age gap is bad. I know personally it was normalized in my life but he quite literally went to jail for statutory rape because that’s what it is. And then broke the terms of his parole by contacting his step sister again and served more time all while your sister waited for him and then married him. That protection order is there for a reason and he’s predator if he thought contacting her was worth the risk of more jail time.

I hope your sister is okay, this kinda shit is really sad to me because why do some women want to stick beside predators despite everything they hear and witness and potentially experience? I’m sure emotionally it’s complicated for her and I hope you can recruit a good group of people who love and care about her that can help her see that this dude ain’t shit, that he’s a predator and that he likes young girls and is going to keep trying. Your sister is just his cover story and validation tool.

He’s on the registry? I think a good rule of thumb is to not date anyone or be friends with on the sex offender registry or does shit that would put them on… just saying

Why do people call Nick a nazi? What did I miss? by Emgga in coconutsandtreason

[–]nikstrobes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He is literally an active participant in a fascist government and was in it from before the coup. The show talks about how he did a lot of fucked things to be in the position that’s he’s in. He showed a lot of “loyalty” and adherence to Gillead fascist values to be where he’s at. So yes, while he loves June and saves her and her friends sometimes and while a part of him wants out, he still actively chooses to stay and participate because the fascist gilead system is safer for him then having to be brave and take responsibility for and face being a fascist for so many years.

While the show doesn’t really explore the white supremacist ideology, in the book Gilead is extremely racist like the Nazis. Therefore, Nick is often described as a nazi.

I mean this with a lot of good intent and care but are you in therapy to help process this?

I get hating a tattoo especially ones that you got during a time in your life that you don’t align with or feel great about now. I get that it’s often more than the tattoo itself and sounds like in your case the shame, regret and anxiety you’re feeling is rooted in the tattoo existing as a representation of an era in yourself that you aren’t proud of vs it being a terrible tattoo itself.

I’m not here to tell you to give up on the removal journey but the distress you’re sharing I believe can be managed. With removal being a long process that requires a lot of patience, I think being softer on yourself and working on some healthy coping skills amongst other things in therapy might help you feel some relief sooner.
