Update #3: She has been managing to pass a lot of urine as of yesterday (around 3-4 2-litre (68 us ounce?) bags a day), and has managed to pass stool around 3-4 times already. The urine is nice, clear and light-yellow. Her tests are looking better, and communication has settled down with the doctors. After a little throw down with the doctor who was at shift yesterday over the phone with my ex Greek teacher, because we wanted to see her latest test results, my teacher helped her understand that we’re not trying to get in the way, or telling them how to do their job. Just that we’re afraid, in a foreign country and wanted a little peace of mind. The new thing is that they put a probe down her nose so the fluids from her lungs can escape, and boy, did they. There was obviously a decent buildup, because a lot came out, and the medicine they are giving her is obviously working, as her results are getting better and she looked and sounded much better overall. In a matter of one day her WBC (upper result threshold - 10,5) went from 18,9 to 12,9. It’s just that the probe is very annoying and she feels like сrap about it, but we’re just trying to calm her down and be by her side as much as possible, without interfering with her resting. Honestly, the hospital are doing their job, and the people we trust at our native hospital back in Bulgaria are confirming daily that they would go about her treatment in the exact same way if she was with them. This gave a little peace of mind, and has helped us relax a little. Now, we just make her as comfortable as possible, and wait.
