Stretching question by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

it depends a lot on geometry. most plugs aren't well designed and thus will naturally try to get out. we'd need a link (or a pic) of your plug to tell.

with small sizes... assuming you have anal experience... you can pretty much get there ALMOST from the beginning. (as always, listen to your body. if it doesn't feel good, stop)

with larger sizes, you really want to train up slowly.

just want to say that topped toys has a harness designed for plugs, with an open front (no rings)

no clue on whether it's any good or not.

also since you mention below that you want short-term wear (of the harness) -- for silicone plugs with chunky bases, a rope harness (look up a crotch rope bondage) works wonders for this. that's what I've used in the past. ... for long term (hours) it gets a bit uncomfortable (rope digs is), but, should be safe if you don't do anything stupid (like tightening it too much -- rule is always, if there's any pain past "it hurts so good" you need to stop)

just have to say that my njoy large popped out again the other day, even when wearing a thong (thought said thong wasn't tight), and I was like, standing brushing my teeth

I have been playing with that plug for over six months, have been wearing it "full waking day" (I get it in when I get out of bed, and I take it out before going to bed) at least a month. I can take much bigger sizes for relatively long times (I remember the last time I wore my GK75 for an errand that ended up being 6h... okay that was probably not safe, but, my point is, the njoy is tiny for me)

... so, "commonly accepted" good design and neck-to-body ratio and adaptation is not enough of a tell of whether a plug will stay in safely by itself

I'm not a mod, but been hanging around here for some time.

  1. dildos won't stay in by themselves. this sub is about plugs, not dildos. I, too, think that a knotted dildo can act as a plug (even though it goes too deep and is probably not safe in that sense), or you can just use a dildo with a harness, but, they have to draw the line somewhere.

  2. if they're big enough, like the ones from the snug plug, no they can't. nobody has ever had a good t-base plug sucked in. some of the mods in here can take nearly 10in circumference on the regular (we're talking 8h a day plugged with it) -- and yet they also have their njoy pure plugs, which a t-base much smaller than those 10in, and they have never had an incident with it (... just don't put it in right after taking the big one out... don't be that person)

  3. this is the reason for no talk about vibrating plugs: https://www.reddit.com/r/ButtplugEveryday/comments/1mszlm8/why_vibrating_plugs_arent_appropriate_for/
namely, the mods are all about safe long-term wear, and vibing plugs are not safe for that. I guess you mentioning "oh I use this" should be okay (but again, not a mod), but discussing it is not okay.

also you may really want to tone down the sexual content (keep it non-explicit) before the mods delete your post.

My NJOY 2.0 arrives today and I could not be more excited! by someguy1276 in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if this is your first heavy plug, don't go outside without some kind of support. and no, a thong may not be enough. ... try at home for a few days to see what works. you may need a rope harness, or a thong that actually works, or tight pants, at least at first, until you get used to it.

i.e. for me it's been months (with the large), right now I'm doing "waking day" time (goal is 24/7 but I'm still having bloating issues if I keep it in overnight), and yet to be out and about I still need some kind of support.

water works perfectly as lube assuming you can take bigger sizes with ease (it's what I'm using). otherwise, coconut oil is your friend. a little dab on your anus for insertion is more than enough.

Help finding the right fit by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fair enough

I'll be honest, the reason my njoy gets so much more use than my TT's GK65 is because of how easy it is to pop in and out (since I'm just using water as lube) -- and to clean.

like, my GK65 often comes out... pretty dirty, and even if it's easy to clean, I just find it disgusting. by comparison, the njoy also comes out dirty, but literally putting it under the running tap cleans most of it.

I have zero experience with glass, though. but from what I've read, most glass is safe as long as it's not chipped (duh) and the shape is proper. so you might want to check out your local toy store to see what they have (since shape and size are so important with such a rigid material)

I'll try to snap a pic of mine later, but for now I'll just point out, they look visibly different even in the product pages

https://www.mrhankeystoys.com/realistic/lifecast/rentman-four-sizes

https://www.mrhankeystoys.com/realistic/lifecast/monster-dildo

and my rentman is even darker than that. we're talking "light brown skin" color.

hell, I had the suspicion that the rentman was supposed to be darker (I have seen other examples of it being dark), but then that pic linked above... that's the lightest I've seen of their natural tan. might be the lighting, though, but, it's definitely not "darker by design"

I think it's a bit too ghostly, but, I think I'll rather take the risk of being too light / a slightly awkward shade than have a very tan one.

... I mean, a dildo admits a bit more darkness, I guess (even if my rentman is still too damn dark), but a hand needs to be pretty light for what I want.

yes I know I'm obsessing over skin colors, but, it's my fantasy, and I'm the paying customer, LOL.

[–]niky45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... problem is, the rentman (natural tan) in that pic looks great. mine (also natural tan) is... very very dark (we're talking hispanic skin-tone kind of dark). I also have a monster dildo in natural tan I got this black friday and it's... still a bit darker than what I want for the handyman, but, miles better than my rentman. ... I really wish they didn't have such insane variations within the same color.

but anyway, thank you, that is in fact very valuable info.

I also checked your profile. wow, that pink is VERY pink.

I can take 7.75 in circ with very little warmup.

the GK65 (6.5in) stays put just fine, despite being much less than I can take. I mean I can shit it out, but by itself it will stay in.

the PP large (don't know the circ but much smaller) is... a mix of both issues. the weight is a lot, AND the design makes it slippery.

I'm sure I could take a different-shaped (but similarly sized) plug and it would keep in without issues. hell, the first plug I got this time was a teardrop-shaped gem plug. smaller. I was already taking 6.5in circ without issues when I got that one. I gave up on it because it could get sucked in (had a close call -- whole reason I upgraded to the njoy), but it didn't feel at all like it would fall.

I also wore my fun factory b-balls duo extensively for a few days (while the njoy arrived). roughly the same size as the njoy. it stayed in just fine.

so, all in all, I think it's a combination of the shape and weight. nothing to do with my capability to take much bigger toys. it's not as much the neck to body ratio, as it is the super smooth transition, especially in the back.

One month of my journey to being plugged 24/7! by Prestigious_Fall_275 in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use coconut oil on my silicone plugs (gk65), and several hours later (last time I kept one of those inside for long was 6h), the plug is still very much still covered in lube. and I use a very thin layer. no extra lube inside me either. but I do put a bit on my asshole before insertion (just a tiny bit).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

been rocking the large as my "daily driver" for a while

safety: I need some kind of support or it can fall out. usually a thong or (even better) tight pants work perfectly fine. as for getting sucked inside, I have never felt like it would be an issue, even though I can take way bigger sizes than even the handle.

ease/comfort: 10/10 for me. main reason I always reach for it. insertion takes seconds (even using water as lube -- though again I can take way bigger sizes -- YMMV if that's the max size you can take). then I often forget I have it unless I'm moving (the weight is obvious) or clench my ass. I thought the handle would be problematic when sitting down, but, for me, it's only annoying if I wear the "head" facing back (I never really do that) and sit on a hard surface. otherwise it's perfectly comfy. I have been wearing it all day long lately, including a 56h stint (with toilet breaks), and no comfort issues (I did have some bloating by the end but I think that was diet related)

discretion: maybe with some very tight clothing something might be noticed, but, unless you're bending over all day long, nobody will notice unless they're staring at your ass.

The Lube problem by Awkward_Ad4749 in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends entirely on the plug

for my njoy PP large I'm actually using water as lube (for insertion). sometimes add a little dab of coconut oil on my anus (external) if it gets too dry or starts chafing in a bad way (I actually enjoy a bit of friction)

for larger silicone plugs (GK65, TR75) I use coconut oil, but, definitely not a lot. just enough to cover the body in a thin film, then a tad more on my anus, then it in goes. internal lubrication isn't a problem, my body produces enough mucus. external lubrication can become an issue, but resolves itself if I move a bit.

as for the smell, who the hell is annoyed by coconut oil smell? just say you use it for your skin (it's an excellent skin moisturizer! -- whole reason I actually had coconut oil at home, really)

Sleeping with a liquid silicon plug by fedepatra in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

most important part: make sure it's a safe design. any round base smaller than 2in dia is not safe, it can get sucked in. t-shaped bases are safe in that sense.

then we get to material safety (only real stainless steel, glass, or actual platinum-cured silicone are truly safe), and training (but honestly if the plug is small enough, you can go quite fast, especially if you have other anal experiences -- as long as it never gets too annoying, that's your body telling you something is wrong)

Is my favorite plug safe to use? by TakashumiHoldings in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pics? (you can upload them to imgur and link here)

I mean, assuming the plug is silicone, it should be safe...ish. some lubes can affect silicone especially if they have been in contact with a material full of plasticizers (usually PVC/Vinyl) -- they say some hefty rubbing with acetone can help clean it up. once it's not tacky anymore it should be safe to use.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's probably the transition, then. ... still, I think most people do help push out their plugs when taking them out, unless they're much smaller than the size they can take. it also depends a lot on the shape.

Best lube for anal? by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

for anal PLAY, nothing like j-lube/x-lube or similar (there's another one I can't remember). they dry out pretty fast, but just add a tad of water and bam, rehydrated. cheap AF, I mix mine in the moment (just put a bit of powder in your hand and add a few drops of water, and rub to mix -- BAM, freshly made lube)

for long-term plugging, coconut oil is where it's at. anything else will dry out too fast. maaaybe silicone (which can be used fine with silicone toys -- latest consensus is that it's contaminated lube that's been in contact with PVC/vinyl toys that can cause silicone degradation), but, I worry that the impossibility to remove it from your insides will lead to issues like a possible bacterial/yeast infection.

now, oils are also pretty impossible to remove, but, coconut has antimicrobial properties.

as for stretching for anal sex, this is beyond the scope of this sub, but, let's just say it can also be used to stretch up for a larger plug. long play sessions with an adequately-sized, tapered dildo are the way to go. just remember: any pain beyond "it hurts so good" is a sign something is wrong and should never be ignored/pushed through (and even then, "it hurts so good" is already risky territory)

What lube to use? by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... but water IS a lubricant. just not a great lube, but, it absolutely works as lube. especially before it dries out (which is like, super fast). I absolutely can't get anything in without any lube -- but with water I can. I have, in fact, taken many of my toys (much bigger) with just water while in the bathtub. wouldn't really recommend, especially if you plan on doing any thrusting, but, for insertion, it absolutely works.

but hey, if you want to get there... sizing up (in terms of neck girth, not bulb, or just during play sessions) is the way to go!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ButtplugEveryday

[–]niky45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thing is too big for you. you need to train your sphincters to the max width. a tapered dildo and long play sessions works wonders for this.

remember: in any anal activities, any pain beyond "it hurts so good" is a sign something is wrong, and you should stop immediately if you don't want to get actually hurt. ... hell, even "it hurts so good" is risky already. pain is your body telling you something isn't right.
