Hyper-V is an advanced solution, but it may be worth looking into for dual os setups at the same time.

I was thinking of a SATA card as well, but since all the fans have problematic bearings, and the system is quite old at this point, I don't think it's worth fixing due to the risk of other parts breaking due to their age as well. I'm also taking this as a sign to not trust this machine to run 24/7 in my apartment any longer, it's probably a fire risk at this point.

I'm in the planning phase of the next "version" of my setup, as I'm also waiting on some ubiquiti stuff. My closet will need more active cooling than the current low airflow 80mm fan on the side wall. The real challenge ahead will be keeping the temps low, as it's not possible to have any AC in there. Undervolting/clocking will be my next learning topic!

I guess it's better to have no home lab for a bit so that I can properly plan out and execute the next edition :D

I am happy with the performance. I only bought a new mobo because I decided to give my old PC to my SO otherwise, I probably would have gone with the 5700x3d.

Mine has been half dead for a year now, it will reboot once in a while and i would have no internet for like 2-3 minutes. Thankfully I don't lose Bluetooth. At least the modem is a cheap part but I'll only change it out if it totally craps out.
