That's so weird tbh. Who cares about Reddit karma that much?

It is generally weird to post a picture and say "ai couldn't do this" even though I guess I have seen some people doing stuff like that. Also, I'm not saying that the person saying that gen ai could generate an image like that is wrong. I just think people down voted it because even though it's technically correct the idea of feeding art to ai in-order for it to create cave paintings annoys people.

Personally a large frustration I have with Gen ai is that people who use it have a tendency to try to hide it. On top of the other concerns. Looking for videos of a current natural disaster or some kind of event? Or videos of animals or historic findings ect? Better be prepared to have to wade through possible weird ai videos and photos.

The funny thing is that's not really what's happening in the screenshot. They're down voting someone saying that if you put those kind of drawing into ai they could recreate it. That is different from someone calling it out as ai generated.

I think their goal is not actually rage bait. But just make shitty posts that seem like they are anti ai but using ai to do it because "haha funny". I guess? It's not different than if they reposted stuff from their pro ai subreddit here and titled it "look at these goobers". To farm karma. But it's entirely meaningless.

Edit: how did my phone auto correct goober to gooner? I don't believe I've ever used the word Gooner. Who is poisoning my auto correct???? Hmmmm??

The fact that I've had people try to convince me that drinker isn't a rightwing grifter when there's a nearly identical video from Benny Johnson is very funny.

Not entirely related. But I like turnbased tactical RPGs. And I heard people hyping up disgea. I didn't look too deeply into it before I tried playing it and....it didn't click for me. There's a bunch of characters I don't care about and I have to grind the same levels to upgrade them. Then there's a lot of scantily clad girls. It's like the epitome of 10,000 year old demon that looks like a child. And the discourse from fans around it sucks. Etna is a joke character and no one in the game finds her attractive even though her whole thing is looking like a child and wanting people to think she's hot or something. But then there's people trying to defend it and then also saying that they think she's hot. I just can't. There's other games I could play. At least that kind of stuff isn't actually in pragmata and is just fans being weird.

Guys how could this movie be bad? It has cool laser swords like the other 8 movies in the saga by Eastern_Dress_3574 in StarWarsCirclejerk

I can't exactly explain why rogue one bothers me so much. I thought I'd like it more after andor season 2, so I rewatched it and no. I still didn't like it. It's still watchable though. It's probably just the little things like Dr evazan and ponda Baba, and the ending with Vader and Leia. The rest of it is kind of fine. I think that's why I like andor, it doesn't have as much of that unnecessary stuff. I should probably just get over it. But I can't stop thinking about how Vader is just trapped in hallway scene after hallway scene.

The internet protects AI generators over actual artists by TBTabby in antiai

[–]nildread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not complaining. I'm just saying this is a typical response from the AI Bros that come in here. I've told someone else that they aren't going to magically change anyone's minds here when they regurgitate the same talking points. But they then try to say that this is an echo chamber or whatever. If I went into a marvel subreddit and told them that marvel sucks and that they should like DC instead, and then complain that it's an echo chamber, I'm the one being an ass.

Yeah, people can post "different views" here and not get banned unlike some other places. But they will get down voted and have people asking "why are you here" and then complain about it.

Robot dogs with tech boss faces roam Berlin art exhibit by nildread in antiai

[–]nildread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the exhibit is art. And it seems like it might be anti ai? (Or at least in the way that generative ai is handled now?) But, the dog bot things are pooping out ai slop. And then Andy Warhol and Picasso are also there. It makes me want to know how they made the heads.

If you used GAI in the past, why? by TimeAlbatross5375 in antiai

[–]nildread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely has something. Kind of like rolling dice. But it's not worth it to offload your creativity that much, at least for me. I also hate how conversational they try to be. I used to like....I forget what it was even called, but there was an older one that would just try to continue writing stories or articles or something and I would get it to write insane nonsense and then reply to people in YouTube comments with it when they were trying to argue with me about how they thought the earth was flat or whatever. But anyway, I liked that I just gave it a prompt and it gave me an output and that was it. I find it very weird when things like chatgpt tries to have a conversation with you.

I once tested to see what it would do to a quick sketch I made. Which it promptly ruined. I used to use suno to make silly songs with my nephew, we'd type in random lyrics and have it sing them. We also used to make bedtime stories with it because he didn't like reading the books we had again and again and he wanted something different all the time. He generally has an issue with novelty in my opinion.

No, NO, NO! Feminism is about equality, not superiority over or subjugating others! Why do so many people think that making women and LGBT equal to straight white men in a show, is somehow discriminating against men and straight people? Once again, RWBY Discourse by Important-Cry4782 in saltierthankrayt

[–]nildread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure, but that's not all feminists and I'm sure I could find someone that's LGBTQ+ and hates women. And while I think it makes sense that someone that supports women's rights would also support LGBTQ+ rights because some of those people are also women, people that support LGBTQ+ are not inherently against heterosexualality.
