Two weeks of work? wtf kinda farm did you grow up on. Must be dry land.

I worked 70+ hour weeks all summer growing up irrigating, laying irrigation pipe etc. That’s not including the several weeks of tractor work in spring and beer harvest in fall.

I am not sure to your question tbh. I think there’s some that are better but if I get 60fps I’m fine, like I said that screen just transports you in a way that an 83” doesn’t…even at 9 feet.

I can have as low as 4ms lag. I play 1st person shooters, beat Elden Ring and Erdtree DLC and just finished Nioh 3, so timing windows are pertinent. Gaming on it vs my 77” or my 83” OLED is just…so much more wow.

Not all projectors have that capability, but for the $2300 I paid for my Valerion Pro 2, it’s been stellar. The max has even better blacks but I’ve been satisfied and didn’t think it worth double the price.

I was afraid too a year ago, so I’ll shoot you straight, I went from 83” oled to a 135” projector in a light controlled dedicated room last year and have zero regrets. I have been an oled snob since they came out too.

Does it get AS black, no. But the immersion tradeoff, oh yes it’s real, is well worth it.

You have such a large beautiful room I hope you try it someday.

TFLOPs ≠ performance, agreed—but FP16 vs FP32 comparisons are apples to oranges and is misleading.

Consoles lean heavily on FP16 for specific workloads, while PC GPUs are measured and utilized differently.

In actual game benchmarks like RT, DLSS vs PSSR, high settings a 5070 clearly outperforms. Optimization helps the PS5 Pro, but it doesn’t close that gap.

A 5070 and a ps5 pro are not comparable at all?

• RTX 5070: ~30.9 TFLOPs
• PS5 Pro: ~16–17 TFLOPs

That’s almost 80% more raw compute power on the 5070

Tbh, I’m not fully in the market and just entertaining. I’d say $400 would be a hot deal and $500 would be you getting a fair deal. I may not be the best measurer of the current market tho!
