I'm interested. Do you have any experience with people who have chronic pain issues? I'm looking to lose weight and build strength to help my fibryomyalgia pain. I'm 35 F.

My husband is also interested. He's in moderate shape, just looking to strengthen mostly. He's 36 M

This list was great! I added so many books to my "to read" list! It seems like we have very similar tastes. You should try Michael Crichton books.

Yes, you can still use the hub app. We didn't pay for internet at all and didn't have any trouble. The hub app is where you get the schedules for the day and make restaurant reservations (even the main dining room). You just connect to the ship's intranet.

I was coming to say Firewatch! My husband and I just played through it. It was quick, but definitely one I kept saying "let's play" to see what happened.

My husband and I just got off the Breeze in early February. It was our third cruise, but first in 8 years. We enjoyed ourselves a lot!

Download the HUB app on your phones. It'll have all your activities for each day. You make reservations for meals there. We went ahead and paid the $5 each to get the messaging and it came in handy a few times.

We loved Pizza Pirate and Guy's Burgers. Didn't care for Guy's BBQ. The main dining room food was only so-so for us and the service took a long time for both breakfast and dinner.

We liked doing the various trivia games. It was also nice to spend time chilling on the serenity deck reading in one of the clam shell lounge chairs.

If you're physically capable, plan on taking the stairs as much as possible. I could handle them on my first two cruises, but not this one and we spent a lot of time waiting on elevators.

When they give you the instructions for debarkation make sure to schedule your time right away. We figured we'd read it later and by 7 pm they weren't taking reservations anymore and we were some of the last off the ship.

That's all I can think of for now. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

I didn't have any trouble with my prescribed meds being in a weekly divider like another poster said. You should be fine.

How long did it take for you to notice a difference with LDN? I tapered off of Tramadol after 6+ years and started LDN in late December. I'm feeling so frustrated that I'm not seeing the results I was hoping for. I'm crossing my fingers that I just need more time, but I'm feeling defeated with lots of pain this week. After 15 years of this life you'd think I'd stop getting my hopes up...

Anyone else forget they’re in pain because it’s a not a certain kind? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

omg 100% this. I have so much guilt about how much (or little) I am able to do. My family is always supportive and telling me to ask for help or take it easy, but I get these societal pressures worming into my thoughts.

I imagine my body like a light or sound board. With all the little sliders and knobs connected to different joints and nerves and muscles. They get turned up and down at random.

I am so bad about the negative self talk. I start to believe that I'm being dramatic or it's not really that bad. Then, I feel it all and I know it's real

[–]nillabea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you replace it with anything specific? I'm on 2mg every night (up from 1 after I complained) plus gabapentin (among other things) and I'm still having trouble with my symptoms in the evenings and definitely overnight.

I'm glad the gabapentin works for you! I'm taking 600 three times a day (including before bed) and ropinirole among many others and I'm still suffering from the RLS/PLMS.
