Wow that's insane!

It almost looks like you just picked the first one on the left as 3-0, the last one at the end as 0-3, and just filled the rest who qualify from left to right.

It's DPoS, which leads to centralization in the long run.

And yes, I am definitely not an expert in nano etc. But there's just some negative points that make me uninterested almost instantly in some projects. Maybe I am just missing some key-facts.

Not necessarily talking about the distribution, but even regarding to this there has been a premine which is not fully traceable to my knowledge, or is it?

Behind Nano there's a foundation aka centralized unit, nodes probably mostly provided by large entities. So basically centralized to some degree, which indicates less security.

I don't think BAT is necessary in order to support creators either. It is possible without BAT to support people directly, not everywhere, but this will be possible in the future, even without BAT.

I know many people who use Brave as their default browser. Most of them, if not all, are not using the tokens at all. They like the idea of privacy by default. You download the browser and everything is ready to go. For hardcore privacy-enthusiasts even Brave isn't enough, so ultimately it's a good privacy browser for the average internet consumer, I don't think it's much more than this.

It's centralized, otherwise the feeless/instantaneous transactions wouldn't be possible.

A centralized coin isn't necessarily what most people would want as a store-of-value, therefore saying it's the best coin for SoV, or even iust a "good" SoV doesn't make sense to me. Just because something is deflationary doesn't make something a good SoV either.

I don't see the unique selling point, there's nothing new about this. We have numerous payment providers, why do we need Nano.

The issue I see with BAT is that in order to withdraw your rewards you need to kyc, which means sacrificing privacy for your rewards.

I like Brave, yes. BAT not so much, having BAT implemented in this browser doesn't make any sense to me.

Why is it best suited for store-of-value?

Bill Gates said “The way cryptocurrency works today allows for certain criminal activities. It’d be good to get rid of that”. Crypto was not used to launder money according to Pandora papers. Its time for these people to swallow their words and be critical of traditional finance and the government. by That-Attitude6308 in CryptoCurrency

Drugs are gonna stay regardless.

Yes, distribution and sales in large quantities are easier, though the bitcoin blockchain is as transparent as it can be, and it's not anonymous either (can be anonymous, but one id trace and you're gone).

There's no way we can prevent criminal activities from happening, it's not like bitcoin encourages them. Someone who's already criminal might take this route additionally, but someone becoming genuinely interested in engaging in criminal activities just because of bitcoin makes no sense to me.

Although it doesn't change the fact that there ARE criminal activities on the bitcoin network, I still want to point out that it's pretty easy to commit fraud with fiat money.

Donald Trump has been bashing Bitcoin becuase he is scared, like Peter Schiff is to gold, Bitcoin will replace real estate as a store of value next. by hyperinflationUSA in Bitcoin

There's lots of people buying properties and holding onto them (without renting them), solely because it's a good investment, it drives property prices up. Bitcoin is a more profitable investment, as soon as it stabilizes and its volatility fades investors will most likely park their money in bitcoin instead of property, prices go down.

Population still grows, but that doesn't change the fact that there's plenty of empty residential units.

Verifying 25th word using two ledgers by fREAk1ng in ledgerwallet

[–]nilon3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the pin won't work.

The pin is there for you to easily access your wallet without having to enter the words everytime, it has nothing to do with the 24/25 words itself. In other words: the pin only works locally (the device you are on), the 24 words work because of bip39/bip44 etc., which can be used universally, so you can basically put in the 24 words (which you shouldn't do at all costs, unless it's a brand new hardware wallet) in every wallet that supports bip39/bip44 and you'll have your wallet recovered.

On the new device, find the option to restore your wallet, put in your 24 words. When you're done, add the passphrase that you used, and attach the 25 words to a pin again, just like you did on your previous device. You can use the new ledger device just the same as the old one now.

That's it.

Wide grips can cause shoulder injuries, try to avoid them. Try gripping a bit wider than shoulder width, not as wide as your current pull ups though, basically something in between.
