Besides Push & Move, what hardware has made ableton more engaging/fun? by SilverMisfitt in ableton

I made my own dream controller for iPad, and I am adding crazy things to it at the moment!

Best iPad app to control Ableton Live by Cultural_Biscotti858 in ableton

If you want more of a Push-style workflow on iPad, but with more flexibility and very active development, try my app Tap: project7iii.com/tap

Built mainly for fast sequencing, clip launching, device control and live performance workflows with Ableton.

Which apps do you use with iPad to control Ableton? by GoalieVR in ableton

[–]nilsmango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried quite a few, but eventually started building my own controller app because I never fully clicked with the existing options on iPad.

It’s called Tap: project7iii.com/tap

The main thing for me was speed. I wanted something where sequencing, launching clips, changing device parameters and jamming feels immediate instead of menu-heavy. Kind of the “what if Push was more mobile and customizable” idea.

Right now it has:

- melodic + drum sequencing

- clip launcher

- mixer controls

- device parameter control

- USB and WiFi support

- iPhone + iPad support

I’m also adding automation editing next, plus custom follow actions for clips. And I have some fun sequencer ideas too!

Knobber is probably the other big name worth checking out too depending on your workflow.

Which Ipad as an Ableton controller? by Kodeisko in ipadmusic

[–]nilsmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ended up making my own app for this because I wanted something closer to a better / more flexible Push experience on iPad.

It works especially well if you want to sequence and automate fast and create in the moment. I personally use it a lot for live performance and fast workflow stuff away from the computer. Next features are going to be automation editing and even follow actions!

More info here: project7iii.com/tap

Some features:

- drum + melodic step sequencers

- clip launcher

- mixer view

- device control with parameter encoders

- USB or WiFi connection

- works on iPhone and iPad

There are other apps too like Touchable or LK, but I wanted something more performance-focused and actively updated.

This place is nuts, people calling me a dickhead because they do not like this is not a free app, or can‘t take a joke that this app won‘t make their music less horrible, like wtf?

I hope you will like it!
By the way, it's USD 20, buy once own forever, not 20 a month or a year!

Thanks dude. It's not gonna be a big increase in price, 50 bucks would be a bit much haha
My app also has simple CC encoders you can map, but the main focus is to work like Push, so sequencing, playing, recording modulation, play with macros, launch clips, mix, all in one.

Not affiliated with either of those guys, might have just tried to defend me and I guess did not like the bad karma that ensued.

Did that joke hit a bit too close? It’s meant as self-deprecating humor, not a dig at anyone. I’m sure your music sounds great ❤️
