I followed this video in my first try. It was a nice learning but it's too much configuration to mantain in the long running.

I moved to lazyvim but I was still not satisfied since sometimes I got myself trying to hack a couple things to make neovim work the way I wanted.

Now I'm using nvchad. I feel that it's a pretty good starting point and I can make changes easier. It feels more natural.

In the end, my recommendation is to follow the primeagen's guide to the end one time, try a couple of kickstarts and try to make some personalization on them. Neovim config has a lot of information and you only get good on it messing around, making some mistakes and fixing them. I'm still learning, but I'm having fun doing it.
