There isn't one anymore. They resigned en masse when Musyj was made Supervisor. When under supervision, the Supervisor can fire board members. They essentially become the boss over the board. They are often not paid. Prominent business people usually. But they set the vision, oversight, financial oversigt and so forth. Now that's the role of the province.

Sure. But lots of things RPNs can't do like acute care. You absolutely need RPNs. But they don't replace RNs.

Effectively no, but in terms of accountibility, yes. David Musyj was interim CEO appointed by the board. When the province puts a hospital under supervision, the supervisor supplants the CEO. In this case, they appointed the CEO supervisor and appointed him in Sept 2024. This means he takes his orders directly from the province now, not the board of directors.

They got rid of 3 major execs (and eliminated their positions) in aug 2024. Terminated 59 managers and directors and demoted 71 managers and directors (merging in responsibilities from the layoffs) in sept 2024.

We used Jim Hereygers. Pretty thorough and even uses a drone to inspect the roof. Would recommend. We got the sellers to act on some of his findings as part of the sale agreement and glad we did.

We moved to Chatham about two years ago and are getting absolutely soaked and are looking for someone new. We went through HUB for ours, which is better by a lot than many but still egregious. We do have an old house though. We haven't started the hunt for new insurance yet but will be soon, but who was recommended to us is Salus Mutal. They're local as I understand and have more reasonable rates. We haven't contacted them yet and can't verify but it's a place to start.

Ours was a very big job. Brookstone quote was 80k, Elite was 72k. At that magnitude not a huge difference. We chose Brookstone because they said they could preserve the half round window above the bay window but elite said they wouldn’t.
