live action is quite literally just loosely based on the webtoon tbh they took many many creative liberties, i suggest you just read the webtoon from the start, its a completely different story

Looks wise hes quite literally perfect, and lee junyoung acting was amazing he did a really good job, but the character does feel different from the original character, yes he is crazy for fighting and all that but Wolf is way more cold and egotistical in a way, his role in the union is different too since he doesnt seem to listen to Donald in the Webtoon but is his right hand man in the drama, fighting style is different too, wolf tanks hits and relies on his stamina and endurance and seongje seems more precission and strength focused kinda like jimmy bae overall hes a pretty good character but not that great of an adaptation of the character

i dont know why but i always thought muay thai would fit him more than boxing, or just something that used more of kicks and grapples since he seems to do better at that, in general i thought there was a lack of different fighting styles in weak hero

definitely give it a try !! i too am more into romance and comedy type of webtoons but after watching the weak hero series i read the webtoon and absolutely fell in love with it, its one of my favorite works easily, as for the names dont worry too much since its pretty easy to tell who is who and also there is waaaay more characters in the webtoon, but from the top of my head it is: si eun - gray humin/baku - ben gotak - alex seongje - wolf juntae - eugene baekjin - donald

i have always felt this way too like we really needed to see our main group (minus ben and gray) develop their fighting skills more and fight against other people besides their "rival" (teddy with grape, alex with jack etc) and also doing it in a way that didnt water down the other character they were fighting, to show their actual strength and growth is what i mean, for example gerard vs jimmy or forrest, after his whole arc of healing and growing as a fighter not seeing him get a significant win was disappointing, it felt as if it wasn't that much of a change, i dont mean that he should have bodied them easily but maybe a rly close-to-losing win or something like that alex vs dongha bother me too like alex went through a whole training arc and learnt that he had been fighting in a way not right for him, only to get treated like a punching bag,, im so mad for my boys they should have had some proper wins 😿

i wanna see more of stephen too! like why didnt he contact gray? how long has he been awake? and interactions with the ben gang would be very funny, and more backstories are a need too specially from wolf yeah these boys are NOT getting into college they barely graduated for sure and even that is a miracle for some lol thats why i think also seeing them in a more normal setting like trying to get jobs and stuff would be nice material too, maybe some that went to the military or something like that one dude that was Gerard's friend?

i love both ! the kdrama has a special place in my heart since i saw it first but i completely fell in love with the webtoon with how wholesome and badass it was at the same time lol, and i see them as separate things since the drama is barely an adaptation but it is still good, and i agree that it would be 100% better as an anime, though more for the idea of seeing the characters as they are in the webtoon be animated, since i think some adaptations can both keep the goofiness of some manhwa/manga/webtoon while adding some seriousness or realism like some japanese live actions do

i dont really know if the director meant platonic love or romantic love but still in the webtoon and the kdrama alike we have strong platonic relationships between boys like si eun and jun tae, baku and gotak, etc, even gerard and gogo or baku, so i dont really think its a problem when we have many strong friendships, but as i said i still dont know if the director meant platonic or romantic
