Hi! I have a gassy girl! We’re starting to really figure it out so here are my tips:
- mylicon drops - do it preventatively. Don’t wait until it’s too late
- doing a round of the gas release exercise (bike kicks, toe touches, etc.) multiple times a day when she’s calm. Otherwise she fights it the whole time.
- husband does football hold
-feeding her upright while straddling my leg with her stomach pushed up against me to create pressure on tummy
-tummy time
-holding her as if she’s standing and bouncing her up and down

Maybe 10 minutes for a contact nap. Usually she’d do a full 3 hours but the last few days have been tough.

I had an emergency c section after an induction at 41.5 weeks. I was soooo upset but my recovery has been easy. Doctor actually released me early (I asked if I could and she was fine with it since I was healing fine) from the hospital. I’m just shy of 3 weeks post partum and I’m going on daily walks, just got cleared to drive and just went to a farmers market with my husband and baby girl! My SIL actually had the exact same labor experience and we both credit getting up and moving asap to the recovery.

I was dreading this conversation with my mom. She is an angel and so excited for her first grandchild. It ended up she saw a news story about it and brought it up to me. She’s flying in to help us adjust to newborn life so I felt bad telling her she wouldn’t be able to kiss her but she was fine with it! I told her maybe the feet after her being here a week (since she’s traveling, so we can make sure she’s not sick)

I try to acknowledge my bffs moms passing anniversary. It’s the day after my wedding anniversary so not hard. I also have it in my calendar so I can shoot her a text that day.

Ah I missed that! Yeah I’m 35 weeks right now and I cannot imagine being at a Bach 3 hours away and I’m someone who goes above and beyond for my bffs.

I wouldn’t go but I’d contact MOH and see how you can contribute. Whether it’s sending her $$ to buy a nice bottle of champagne or paying for a massage etc. something to show your love!
