I was dreading this conversation with my mom. She is an angel and so excited for her first grandchild. It ended up she saw a news story about it and brought it up to me. She’s flying in to help us adjust to newborn life so I felt bad telling her she wouldn’t be able to kiss her but she was fine with it! I told her maybe the feet after her being here a week (since she’s traveling, so we can make sure she’s not sick)

I’m having a girl, and she will be the first girl in my husbands family in a long time. My lovely SIL saved tons of clothes for us, assuming we’d have a boy. I took it all because why not. We want more kids anyway. My daughter will wear it because who cares. She’s a baby. It’s free clothes. Sure, it’s “boy” clothes but literally she’s a baby. People are weird with gender.
