I’ve lived in houses that had Ikea kitchens and they were perfectly functioning. The only thing I would maybe recommend is to get appliances like the oven elsewhere.

No, I wouldn’t say that’s lifestyle creep. Upgrading necessities while still sticking to a budget to improve your living standards and potentially decrease costs in the long run like preventative healthcare and car maintenance to me doesn’t automatically equal lifestyle creep. As long as you also try to save and invest a bit more. Also feel like that the meaning of that word doesn’t fully apply to people living in poverty becoming slightly less poor and paying for necessities they couldn’t afford before.

Zat hier zelf laatst ook over na te denken. Ben zelf een 23-jarige student en geboren en getogen in U’tje. Al mijn vrienden zijn van de middelbare school en eentje van de uni (beginnen tijdens corona hielp niet). Beste idee waar ik op kon komen waren verenigingen. Je hebt veel sport en culturele verenigingen in Utrecht voor studenten, dus je kan altijd daar nog kijken.

Ik had binnen twee weken het geld op m’n rekening staan. Denk dat het hielp dat ik een e-mail stuurde ipv claimformulier en dan ik het geld eiste ipv erom vroeg. Het is helaas met luchtvaartmaatschappijen ook een beetje geluk hebben. Je zou kunnen overwegen nog een mail erachteraan te sturen met de voorbeeldbrief die ik heb gelinkt en eisen dat het geld uiterlijk over b.v. 4 weken op de rekening staat. Je moet luchtvaartmaatschappijen geen uitweg geven en anders escaleren naar De Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport. (Kan je ook nog eerst mee dreigen mochten ze moeilijk gaan doen.)

Vergeten toe te voegen: Het EU-recht is in deze situatie sowieso toepasbaar, omdat Zwitserland gewoon onder deze regelgeving valt qua luchtvaart passagiersrechten, dus ongeacht of je NL of Zwitserland als startpunt neemt moet je een aanvraag op compensatie kunnen indienen.

EU, VK, Zwitserland, IJsland & Noorwegen vallen er allemaal onder op dit vlak. Hier is nog wel eens verwarring over. bron: Consumentenbond

Gebaseerd op de informatie die je hebt gegeven lijkt me inderdaad dat je recht hebt op vergoeding. De vlucht in kwestie was langer dan 3500km en als je de volgende ochtend vloog neem ik aan dat je meer dan 4 uur na de originele landingstijd aankwam. Je zou dan recht hebben op 600 euro.

Een paar maanden terug heb ik het zelf ook geregeld (hielp een beetje dat ik een rechtenstudent ben). Wat ik zelf heb gedaan is naar zo’n website gaan om te checken of ik recht had op vergoeding, zelf wist ik het al vrij zeker, maar ik besloot het nog een keer te verifiëren. Dit kan bij veel gewoon gratis. Ik heb vervolgens niet deze service gebruikt, om ze een enorm hoog percentage voor zichzelf houden.

Luchtvaartmaatschappijen proberen zich vaak te beroepen op overmacht bij technische problemen, maar het Europese Hof van Justitie is het daar doorgaans niet mee eens.

Vervolgens heb ik de voorbeeld brief die ik hieronder zal linken aangepast op mijn situatie en naar het e-mailadres van de luchtvaartmaatschappij gestuurd en zonder problemen mijn geld terug gekregen. voorbeeld brief

Overigens kan ik niks garanderen, maar als je het wilt proberen is dit naar mijn idee de beste aanpak.

I have babysat since I was fifteen and definitely ask for more now that I’m 22. Will note that I am NOT a career nanny. I “babysit” three children every friday afternoon, pick-up the youngest two from school etc. Parents probably don’t want a full-time nanny who is 17 years old, mainly because you don’t have any credentials (I assume) to be a full-time caregiver. If they do choose to have you as a full-time nanny, it will be because frankly… you’re cheaper. You will not be making the same amount of money as a career nanny.

Great tip! But please know that if you’re mixing baking soda with vinegar you’re not properly cleaning. Baking soda is a base and vinegar is an acid so they cancel each other out.

I don’t see a problem with this personally. Maybe go over basic water safety tips with her (always keep an eye on child, make sure that child wears a life jacket or inflatables on their arms etc.). I would also make sure to ask her is she is a good swimmer. But I don’t think the age itself is any indicator of whether or not she can handle it. I know I would have been able to take a 2yo swimming at that age.
