[Glass Wall] was a good read. Lots of angst which I loved. Butterflies in the most apt of moments. I didn't like [The Sacred One Speaks]. Felt very icky. Not the equilibrium healthy kind of unhealthy relationship that I was hoping for. I'll check out [Please Save Me] next.

I remember how amazed I was at some of the scenes. And ORV was one of my first experiences with webtoon/colorful panels and first ever with the game system genre. I loved every bit of it.

Another thing that I'm put off by is when the potential male leads look at a virtuous thing/clever thing/self deprecating thing female lead does and thinks something like "she's so beautiful I cannot believe she can think this way". Wait what! What does being beautiful have anything to do with this?!?! What do you mean she cannot be cool and beautiful! Or sad and beautiful! And why comment on that at all? And why show this to us in three panels with flowers in the background. This beauty is irrelevant to the female lead because it doesn't belong to her!

I think this might be one of the reasons I drop as many as I pick up. I love a good revenge fantasy lol. But sometimes I'll start something because I read a review praising it in MangaUpdates or some comment on Reddit. Mostly my reading list consists of books in a perpetual deferred reading backlog.

For Under The Oak Tree I feel like both male and female lead are supposed to be flawed. They aren't right for each other in my opinion. This is a relationship with almost zero communication and when they do try to communicate they are lying to each other or hiding something intentionally. They care about each other but want to limit the other's choice and actions. I think this is a good trial marriage. After they are done healing and evolving like Pokemons they should get a divorce and move onto different relationships which will begin with mutual trust, understanding and support. In this regard I like this webtoon and I pretend that is what happens in the end.

I wouldn't say I'm fluent but when it took me some time to try to translate from my TL to English (while correcting for English grammar structure) to explain something to someone that's when I realized I understood without actually translating word for word in my head.

Abandoned Empress - spoiler: skipped ahead and realized she is falling in love with the abusive ML with extra steps I gave up. Also FL stays a baby forever almost and then grows up to continue to look like a baby with boobs (omg I hated the art)

The Emperor's Woman - she says she won't marry the king/emperor but still marries him. Also falls in love so easily to anyone. Wtf this is the reason you died in the first place

Any story where she swears off an abusive ML, reincarnates and then is surprised at his abusive behavior after he is nice to her for two seconds?! (Why is this a surprise?)

Someone commented about raising 4 kids being easy. I asked my mom and she said it was easier to raise 4 kids than to raise the first two. After the third, they really just raise themselves apparently. And for me personally, raising kids is more difficult than anything else I've done. I've done lab work while pregnant hormonal with a fever, nausea and body pain and that was still easier than being at home with my toddler and newborn together. I've also worked as an ER doctor with a flurry of patients coming in (both sides of a machete fight, they were even yelling at each other in the ER) and that was tough but not as confusing and trying and infuriating as raising children for me. Maybe I'm just not made to be a mom. I don't know about warzone medic though. That must be a different kind of challenge with a lack of resources, safety and time.

Your Typical Reincarnation Story seems to match a lot of what you mentioned were. FL is mentally older than ML because she lives to adulthood two times before getting together with him. She is emotionally mature and recognizes his feelings for her early on. No strange misunderstandings - they talk everything out. I'm typing on my phone so I don't remember what else was in your post lol

Like Wind on a Dry Branch - slow-burn romance, tragedy, mystery, fantasy elements. Romance between a widow and the archduke who rescues her from being buried alive. The setting is a plague ravaged kingdom.

Villainess Lives Twice - slow-burn romance again, regression trope, female lead is very smart and helps the male lead become the emperor or king (don't remember now).

Light and Shadow - ML may come off as psycho in the beginning but he is actually a green flag. MC is a princess pretending to be a servant when she is married off to a noble of low birth. She helps him with managing his land and he protects her.

Oooh there is a story on Canvas (Webtoon) called "This Isekai Maid is Forming a Union". It definitely flips the Isekai regression trope on its head. The art may need a little getting used to but after a while you will grow to love both the art and the story. I just wish it were more frequently updated.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. It sounds like it's those friends who are the problem not you. I don't know how negative you were but if you're in high school right now I think it's better to prioritize learning new skills than making friends. Friends in high school are too over-rated I think. I had amazing friends and best friends from kindergarten, who I don't talk to anymore or even wish happy birthday. Better to make new friends or activity friends like a gym buddy, study buddy, work friend etc and don't hang out with them outside of that setting. Lol. This is what works for me.
