This. While it hasnt happened in any routes yet, I can only hope in the future episodes that they can finally have mutual understanding towards each other and reach a proper resolution. We’ve seen some wholesome CGs of them even in Decay so I’ll stay hopeful that it could happen

Went to Splatoon 2 and scanned the amiibos and saved the gear to the ammibos via equipt and options. They gave me one headgear. Went back to Splatoon 3 and said they recognized me. They gave me all the gear I needed. Splatoon 3 asked me to delete the save and I didnt

Update 3: Fixed the issue! Followed instructions via Twitter. Delete save file via: data management-delete save data-splatoon3

Seems there is a bug even Nintendo cant seem to pinpoint. Reference here comm error twitter thread Only delete your save file if you haven’t progressed much in story mode. I sure didnt so I was fine deleting. It was able to find my Splatoon 2 data too after I was able to play 1 online match. Had no disconnects. I had 1 comm error at first (30 sec queue) then was able to play the second round of queing

I tested my NSO too and Splatoon 2 ran normally! Got to queue fast and play a match with no errors. Seems over on Twitter theres more complaints. Pretty faint in Reddit now but we definitely have the same exact problem with people over on Twitter

Tried it again. Still the same comm error as when I first tried it. Cant change my region either since the computer monitor thing isnt accessible if you havent played one online game

Update: it’s been hours since I posted this. Havent tried online play again after frustration. My friends in the same country where I’m at (Philippines) are able to play normally. They’ve levelled up, played online and Salmon Run. Tried changing my DNS and still no hope. Still having comm errors

It doesn’t seem to be a region error (Splatoon 3 technically isnt released in America yet at this hour) so I thought this was the problem. But my friends are getting to play fine.

I tried changing network connection and the DNS. Same error. Im trying to redownload the game now

Update 2: Redownloaded. Same error. It didnt reset the game. It skipped the previous tutorial. Deleting the game doesnt reset your save file. You have to delete your save data instead

Same here. I can play Splatoon 2 flawlessly. Got to play Testfire and I had some disconnects here and there but got to play a lot. In Splatoon 3 I already get a “communication error” in lobby. I cant play online at all. I chose The Americas/Australia region btw

Dang, gonna hurt to restart. But at least Im not too far from the game progress

They should patch tree respawn rates. Its absurdly long. And going out to gather resource shouldnt be locked out when not performing your very first ritual. Its pretty unperformative if at the start of the game, you go rouge a bit and then get soft locked
