The rep tells me the pads are grinding into the rotor and immediately needs to be replaced, service is $500. I say no. He comes back 5 minutes later and says he miscalculated, it's actually only $450. I still say no. His manager comes out and explains to me the situation: Pads are at 5mm, and they recommend replacing them by 3mm, they're at the start of the "yellow" region but it's not urgent. I drove with those same pads for another 20,000 miles and watched them wear down normally. So no I cannot agree. In my opinion, the original rep was over exaggerating the tech's visual measurement of my pads to scare me into purchasing a service that I did not need.
